Syracuse, N.Y. – Junior attacker Bryanna Fazio (Watertown, N.Y./General Brown) scored five goals to lead the fourth-ranked Le Moyne College women's lacrosse team to a 16-8 victory over Saint Anselm College on Saturday morning in Northeast-10 Conference action at Ted Grant Field.

Fazio opened the game's scoring 4:22 into the contest with an unassisted tally, her team-best 35th of the season. Freshman attacker Emily Altland (North Bennington, Vt./Mount Anthony Union) doubled the lead at the 22:58 mark with her sixth goal of the year. Sophomore midfielder Nicole Delany (Camillus, N.Y./West Genesee) extended the lead to three by registering her 32nd goal of the campaign after taking a pass from Altland.

The Hawks got on the scoreboard at the 12:22 mark as Breda Holland recorded her 17th goal of the year.

The Dolphins countered with another 3-0 run. Sophomore attacker Sidney Hall (Adams Center, N.Y./South Jefferson) put Le Moyne's lead back to three with her 30th goal of the year with 10:58 left in the half. Just 21 seconds later, Fazio found the back of the net after collecting a pass from Altland. Junior midfielder Monica Sanna (Pittsford, N.Y./Pittsford) pushed the lead to 6-1 with 8:00 left after taking a pass from freshman attacker Erin McMullen (Syracuse, N.Y./Westhill).

Meaghan Sheehy, the second-leading scorer in the conference with 69 points, tallied her first goal of the game by converting a free-position shot with 5:50 to go in the half.

Le Moyne responded with its third three-goal run of the half. Fazio pushed the lead back to five with an unassisted goal with 3:37 to go. She converted a free-position shot 1:16 later after drawing a yellow card to give the Dolphins a 9-2 lead with 1:22 remaining in the half.

Sheehy completed the half's scoring with another free-position goal with 47 seconds left.

Sheehy started the scoring in the second half by converting her third free-position shot of the game just 38 seconds into the half.

Like their previous goal streaks, the Dolphins answered with three straight goals. Sanna got the team into double digits at the 28:06 mark after receiving a pass from Altland. Fazio made it 11-4 with 24:42 remaining off a feed from Hall. McMullen then scored with 22:16 left off a pass from Altland.

Saint Anselm countered with a pair of goals in a span of 17 seconds. Emma Palumbo scored her 26th goal of the year with 20:21 left off a pass from Sheehy. Molly Beck won the ensuing draw and raced in to score her 28th goal of the campaign.

The Dolphins broke their pattern by scoring four goals in their next run. Fazio netted her fifth goal of the game – and 39th of the year (fourth-most in the NE10) – with 17:50 left after collecting a feed from McMullen. Senior attacker Jacqueline Pardee (Camillus, N.Y./West Genesee) followed 34 seconds later with her third goal off a pass from Altland, which marked her fifth assist of the game. Another 34 seconds later, freshman midfielder Sydney Meagher (Fairport, N.Y./Fairport) registered her fourth goal of the year.
