Worcester, Mass. – Senior outside hitter Marguerite Dillon (Oswego, N.Y./Oswego) registered 13 kills to lead the Le Moyne College volleyball team to a 3-0 victory over Assumption College in Northeast-10 Conference play on Saturday afternoon at Laska Gymnasium.

The Dolphins opened the match with a 25-17 win in the opening set. Le Moyne followed with another 25-17 victory in the second set. The Dolphins closed out the match with a 25-18 win in the third set.

Dillon led the Dolphins in the victory with 13 kills, including six in the first sets, and added four digs. Freshman outside hitter Mary Talty (Clifton Park, N.Y./Shenendehowa) hit .714 en route to 10 kills, including five in the third set. Sophomore setter Emily Yancone (Rochester, N.Y./Our Lady of Mercy) facilitated the offense with 38 assists, while adding two service aces and three digs. Senior libero Mikayla Porr (Massapequa, N.Y./Massapequa) led all players in the match with 23 digs, including 10 in the first set.

Mary Campbell and Alana Hruska led the Greyhounds in the loss with five kills, two blocks and two digs each. Alexandra Krawczyk dished out 16 assists, while Brenna Chrisom and Kellie Smith each posted 11 digs.

Le Moyne (8-6, 1-4 NE10) returns to action on Saturday against Pace University at 12:00 p.m.
