Syracuse, N.Y. – Five Dolphins each had at least four points to lead the fourth-ranked Le Moyne College men's lacrosse team to a 21-7 victory over Bentley University on Wednesday afternoon in Northeast-10 Conference action at Ted Grant Field.
The Dolphins scored the first two goals of the game. Junior midfielder
Hans Zimmer (Ballston Spa, N.Y./Ballston Spa) netted the first goal at the 12:02 mark, while freshman midfielder
Colin Sypek (Lake Worth, Fla./American Heritage School) found the back of the net with 9:50 left off a feed from junior attackman
Matt Hutchings (Marcellus, N.Y./Marcellus).
Mark Galione got the Falcons on the scoreboard with 8:10 to go in the first quarter off a pass from Alex Astarita.
Le Moyne tallied the final three goals of the quarter. Senior attackman/midfielder
Ryan Cosgrove (Churchville, N.Y./Churchville-Chili) put the Dolphins back in front by two with his seventh goal of the season with 5:51 left off a pass from Hutchings. Senior midfielder
Dan Entenmann (Auburn, N.Y./Auburn) registered his third goal of the campaign with 2:19 to go after collecting a pass from Sypek. Junior attackman
Riley Larson (Fairfield, Conn./Ludlowe) closed out the scoring in the quarter with his 10th goal of the year with 20 seconds left off a feed from Cosgrove.
The Dolphins scored all six goals of the second quarter. Larson started the run at the 13:10 mark off a pass from Hutchings, who then fed Cosgrove at the 11:22 mark. Senior midfielder
Josh Slowinski (Williamsville, N.Y./Clarence) sent a rocket into the back of the net with 9:24 left in the half after collecting a pass from Sypek. Junior attackman
Sean Emerson (Penn Yan, N.Y./Penn Yan Academy/Siena) netted his first goal in over a year with 8:16 to play in the quarter. Just 14 seconds later, Entenmann tallied his second goal of the day. Hutchings made it 11-1 with 7:26 left off a pass from Entenmann.
Le Moyne extended its run to 10 straight goals with the first goal of the third quarter as Slowinski finished off a pass from Entenmann with 13:46 left.
Michael Fricke tallied Bentley's second goal of the day with 7:43 remaining in the period.
The Dolphins answered with three straight goals for a 15-2 lead. Larson netted the first of the three with 7:25 to go. Sophomore long-stick midfielder
Nate Arnold (Macedon, N.Y./Palmyra-Macedon/Richmond) tallied his first career goal off a pass in transition from Larson with 5:02 left. Sophomore attackman
Devin Andrews (Canandaigua, N.Y./Canandaigua Academy/Stony Brook) capped the spurt with 1:32 left off a pass from Sypek.
Bentley scored three times in the final 56 seconds of the quarter to get back within 15-5. Joey Tesoriero scored in transition with 56 seconds left off a pass from Timmy Day. In an extra-man situation, Kristopher Campbell scored his first goal of the year with 38 seconds to go. Following a save, Logan Walsh scored from beyond midfield just prior to the time in the quarter expiring.

Kevin Sheehan (Camillus, N.Y./West Genesee) started the scoring in the fourth quarter just 18 seconds into the period off a pass from sophomore midfielder
Kaiden Tubbert (Auburn, N.Y./Auburn/Bridgton Academy).
Following 7:43 of scoreless play, Day scored his first goal of the season with 6:59 left off a pass from Matty O'Brien.
The Dolphins countered with four goals in a span of 1:44. Freshman attackman
John Howes (Camillus, N.Y./West Genesee) finished off a pass from sophomore midfielder
Ben McCreary (Cicero, N.Y./Christian Brothers Academy) with 5:23 to go. Senior midfielder
James Felix (Pittsford, N.Y./Pittsford) scored in an extra-man situation with 4:33 left off a pass from sophomore attackman
Evan Kelly (Honeoye Falls, N.Y./Aquinas Institute). Just 34 seconds later, Kelly fed Cosgrove for his ninth goal of the year. Kelly then capped the streak 20 seconds later with his seventh tally of the campaign.
Day completed Bentley's scoring with 47 seconds later, while freshman midfielder
John Galimi (Syracuse, N.Y./West Genesee) scored his first career goal off the ensuing faceoff.
Junior goalkeeper
Riley Smith (Baldwinsville, N.Y./C.W. Baker/Onondaga C.C.) registered six saves (against five goals) over the opening three quarters of the game to earn the win. Michael Haggan took the loss after yielding 15 goals, while making 11 saves.
Le Moyne (5-1, 3-0 NE10), which has won five straight games, concludes its four-game homestand on Sunday against NYIT at 12:00 p.m.
