Philadelphia, Pa. – Junior guard
McKayla Roberts (North Syracuse, N.Y./Cicero-North Syracuse) scored a game-high 28 points to lead the fourth-seeded Le Moyne College women's basketball team to a 63-56 come-from-behind win over top-seeded and sixth-ranked University of the Sciences in the NCAA East Region semifinals on Saturday night at USciences' Bobby Morgan Arena.
With the victory, Le Moyne's second NCAA Championships win in the program's history, the Dolphins (26-5) advance to the NCAA East Region Championship game on Monday at 7:00 p.m. against seventh-seeded Saint Anselm College at Bobby Morgan Arena.
Roberts, who went 15-of-17 at the foul line, tallied eight points in the second quarter, nine in the third and eight in the fourth en route to her game-high point total. She also finished the game with five assists. Her 15 made free throws are the most by a Dolphin since Jennifer Shea converted 16 on February 21, 1989. She joins Shea as the only player's in the program's history to record at least 28 points four times in a single season. With her ninth point of the game, she moved past

Erin Fouracre (Loudonville, N.Y./Colonie Central) tallied nine points off the bench, including seven in the second half.
Irisa Ye led the Devils in the loss with 25 points, including 10 in the second quarter. Jordan Vitelli was the only other USciences player in double figures with 14 points, including 11 in the second half.
After each team scored in the opening 90 seconds of the game, neither team scored until redshirt sophomore guard
Liz Millea (Cooperstown, N.Y./Cooperstown) hit a jumper with 3:11 left in the quarter.
Following three-pointers by Alex Thomas and Roberts to even the score at seven with 1:30 left, Vitelli hit a three-pointer to give USciences a 10-7 lead after one quarter of play.
After Ye scored the first four points of the second quarter for a 14-7 lead, the Dolphins scored 10 of the next 12 points for a 17-16 lead with 4:39 left in the half. Roberts scored five of the points, including two free throws for the lead, while Fouracre and junior forward
Colleen Corcoran (Beverly, Mass./Bishop Fenwick) each scored two.
USciences, which had its 24-game home win streak snapped. answered with five straight points to regain the lead. Ye made two free throws and Kendall Keyes followed with a three-pointer.
Roberts made three free throws and graduate student forward
Corinne Poitevien (Bardonia, N.Y./Paramus Catholic (N.J.)) converted a lay-up to get the Dolphins within 23-22 with 2:02 left, but Ye made two free throws and Thomas knocked down a jumper to give the Devils a 27-22 lead at halftime.
Following alternating baskets to start the third quarter, the Devils used a 6-1 run to take their largest lead of the game. Vitelli scored all six of the points with a pair of jumpers and a lay-up for a 38-28 lead, which forced a Le Moyne timeout with 5:37 to play.
Out of the timeout, the Dolphins scored 11 of the next 12 points to even the score at 39 each. Fouracre made two free throws, Roberts recorded a conventional three-point play, freshman forward
Jenna Zimmerman (Adams, N.Y./South Jefferson) hit a pull-up jumper, Fouracre converted a fast-break lay-up off a steal by Corcoran and then Roberts knotted the score with a lay-up with 57 seconds left.
Ye nailed a three-pointer with 26 seconds left in the quarter to give USciences a 42-39 lead after 30 minutes of play.
The Dolphins scored the first 12 points of the fourth quarter to take the lead. Senior guard
Madison Purcell (Clifton Park, N.Y./Catholic Central) started the streak with a three-pointer from the top-of-the-key, Corcoran made two foul shots, Fouracre registered a conventional three-point play, Roberts made two free throws and then Purcell capped the stretch with a lay-up to force a timeout with 4:45 left and the Dolphins leading 51-42.
The Devils answered with six of the next eight points to pull within five with 2:36 left. Ye made a jumper, Vitelli made a foul shot and Colleen Walsh followed two Zimmerman free throws with a three-pointer.
After Corcoran and Vitelli each scored two points, neither team scored for 1:32 before Roberts connected on two free throws with 29 seconds left to give the Dolphins a 57-50 lead. Zimmerman followed with two more foul shots with 24 seconds left.
Keyes and Ye drained three-pointers around two free throws by Roberts to get the Devils within 61-56 with 10 seconds left, but Roberts sank two more free throws with five seconds left to complete the game's scoring.
