Manchester, N.H. – Six Dolphins scored multiple goals as the third-ranked Le Moyne College men's lacrosse team closed out the regular season with a 24-10 win over Southern New Hampshire University in Northeast-10 Conference action on Tuesday afternoon at Penmen Stadium.
The Dolphins finished the regular season in a three-way tie at the top of the NE10 standings with Adelphi University and Merrimack College at 10-1. By virtue of the conference's tiebreaking procedure, Adelphi claims the first seed due to having a +3 goal differential among the three team, Le Moyne gets the second seed with a +1 and Merrimack is third with a -4. As the second seed, the Dolphins will host either third-seeded Merrimack or sixth-seeded Saint Anselm College on Wednesday, May 1 at 3:00 p.m. in the NE10 semifinals.

Josh Slowinski (Williamsville, N.Y./Clarence) tallied the game's first goal at the 12:42 mark off a pass from sophomore attackman
Devin Andrews (Canandaigua, N.Y./Canandaigua Academy/Stony Brook). Just over three minutes later, junior midfielder
Ross Filtch (Marcellus, N.Y./Marcellus/Siena) netted his 11th goal of the year. Senior midfielder
Dan Entenmann (Auburn, N.Y./Auburn) made it 3-0 with 8:25 left off a feed from sophomore midfielder
Evan Kelly (Honeoye Falls, N.Y./Aquinas Institute). Exactly one minute later, junior attackman
Matt Hutchings (Marcellus, N.Y./Marcellus) finished off a feed from senior midfielder
Ryan Cosgrove (Churchville, N.Y./Churchville-Chili) in an extra-man situation. Slowinski scored his 21st goal of the season 27 seconds later to force a timeout by the Penmen. Hutchings completed the run with his 25th goal of the year at the 6:15 mark off a pass from junior attackman

Tristan Pietz got the Penmen on the scoreboard at the 4:40 mark with his 13th goal of the year.
Le Moyne tallied the final two goals of the first quarter. Kelly netted his eighth goal of the season with 3:09 remaining off a pass from Hutchings. Entenmann scored his 17th of the year just 44 seconds later to cap the scoring in the quarter.
The teams traded goals over the opening five minutes of the second quarter. Larson gave the Dolphins a 9-1 lead with his 32nd goal of the year with 13:54 left after taking a pass in an extra-man situation from Cosgrove. Just 27 seconds later, Tom Schutz answered off a pass from Joseph Mayernik. Hutchings pushed Le Moyne's lead back to eight with 11:23 remaining off a feed from Andrews. Jeremy Handman tallied his fourth goal with 10:11 left to get the Penmen within seven for the final time.

Kevin Sheehan (Camillus, N.Y./West Genesee). Just 19 seconds later, Entenmann registered his 18th goal of the year. Hutchings recorded his fourth goal of the day and 27th of the season with 6:41 to play. Andrews picked up his 21st goal of the campaign with 4:24 left off a feed in an extra-man situation from Cosgrove, who followed with his 15th goal of the year with 3:33 to go. Hans Zimmer (Ballston Spa, N.Y./Ballston Spa) made it 17-3 with 1:33 remaining in the half with his seventh tally of the season. Rayhill completed the half's scoring with 44 seconds left.
Rayhill tallied the first goal of the third quarter with 13:17 left off a feed from Kelly.
Schutz answered back with an extra-man goal with 10:19 to go off a pass from Pietz.
The Dolphins scored the next two goals to take their largest lead of the game. Senior midfielder
Daniel Lynch (Billerica, Mass./Billerica) netted his second goal of the season with 9:14 left. Freshman attackman
John Howes (Camillus, N.Y./West Genesee) pushed the lead to 17 for the first time with just 15 seconds later after taking a pass from sophomore midfielder
Kaiden Tubbert (Auburn, N.Y./Auburn/Bridgton Academy).
Bryan Noyes countered with 2:12 left off a pass from James Einarson.
Lynch closed out the scoring in the quarter with an extra-man goal with nine seconds left off a feed from Kelly.
The Penmen scored the first three goals of the fourth quarter to cut into their deficit. Noyes scored the first of the spurt with 10:03 left off a pass from Pat Quinn, who followed with his fifth goal of the year with 7:26 to play. Pietz got the Penmen within 22-8 with 5:12 remaining off a pass from Landon Goguen.
Less than one minute later, senior midfielder
James Felix (Pittsford, N.Y./Pittsford) registered his eighth goal of the season.
Handman recorded his second goal of the day with 2:01 after taking a feed from Pietz.
Howes completed Le Moyne's scoring with 1:16 to go after collecting a pass from freshman attackman
Joe McDonald (Saratoga Springs, N.Y./Ballston Spa).
Mayernik ended the scoring in the game with 10 seconds to play.

Riley Smith (Baldwinsville, N.Y./C.W. Baker/Onondaga C.C.) made three saves (against one goal) in the first quarter to earn the win between the pipes. Neal Murray recorded 10 saves (against 18 goals) in the first half to take the loss.
