Worcester, Mass. – The Le Moyne College women's tennis team registered its fifth straight victory, 6-1, over Assumption College in Northeast-10 Conference action on Sunday afternoon at the Assumption Tennis Courts.

Marta Perez Fernandez (Vigo, Spain/Northside Christian School (Fla.)) and sophomore
Brooke Fernandez (Shirley, N.Y./William Floyd) clinched the point with a 6-4 victory at the second spot over Camille Latoni and Valeria Sanchez. Veronica Op and Ana Escudero prevented the sweep with an 8-6 win at the third position against junior

Le Moyne won the first five positions of the singles competition to complete the victory. Oz improved to 4-0 at the first position by defeating Chappell, 6-1, 6-0. Nunez was a 6-3, 6-0 winner at the second spot over Monje. Lilliegren recorded a 6-1, 6-0 victory at third position over Aimee Figgins to improve to 5-0 in dual matches. Perez Fernandez also improved to 5-0 by topping Latoni at the fourth spot, 6-1, 2-6, 10-6. Fernandez pushed her record to 3-0 by downing Sanchez, 6-3, 6-1, at the fifth position. Escudero earned Assumption's point with a 6-2, 3-6, 16-14 win at the sixth spot over junior
Camila Humala (Lima, Peru/Antonio Raimondi).
Le Moyne (5-0, 3-0 NE10), one of three unbeaten teams remaining in the NE10, returns to action on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. against Stonehill College for its home opener.
