Syracuse, N.Y. – The Le Moyne College women's and men's swimming and diving teams were swept by Nazareth College on Friday night at the Rev. Vincent B. Ryan, S.J. Pool. The Golden Flyers were 133-108 winners on the women's side and posted a 127-114 victory on the men's side.
Junior
Haley Synan (Belchertown, Mass./Belchertown) recorded Le Moyne's first win of the day with a season-best time of 11:07.18 in the 1000-yard freestyle to win by 16.5 seconds. Just three events later, she won the 400-yard IM by over 18 and one-half seconds with a time of 4:46.14. She collected her third victory of the evening by topping the field in the 200-yard butterfly by almost 14 seconds with a time of 2:11.72.
Senior
Haley Decker (Vernon, N.Y./Vernon-Verona-Sherrill) won the 200-yard freestyle by 0.65 seconds by touching the wall in a season-best 1:59.34. In the second-to-last individual event of the night, the 500-yard freestyle, she recorded a time of 5:26.28 to win by over nine and one-half seconds.
Sophomore
Vicki Silaika (Rexford, N.Y./Shenendehowa) claimed the 200-yard breaststroke by almost six seconds with a time of 2:17.53.
Senior
Matthew Walton (Queensbury, N.Y./Queensbury) registered the first victory of the night for the men's team by topping the field in the 200-yard freestyle in a season-best 1:47.43. He later won the 100-yard freestyle by 0.44 seconds with a season-best time of 48.06 seconds.
Freshman
Seth Dougherty (Waterford, N.Y./Homeschooled) was victorious in the 200-yard backstroke by just over one second with a time of 2:07.04.
In his final career home race, senior
Michael Dierolf (Pennsburg, Pa./Quakertown) won the 200-yard breaststroke by almost 10 seconds with a time of 2:11.67.

The Dolphins close out the regular season on Saturday, January 25 at SUNY Cortland at 1:00 p.m.
