Colchester, Vt. – Senior guard
McKayla Roberts (North Syracuse, N.Y./Cicero-North Syracuse) connected on a program record-tying seven three-pointers for the third straight game to lead the Le Moyne College women's basketball team to an 83-49 victory over Saint Michael's College in Northeast-10 Conference action on Wednesday afternoon at the Ross Sports Center.
Roberts, the reigning USBWA Division II National Player of the Week, Jesuit Basketball Spotlight National Jesuit Player of the Week and NE10 Player of the Week, finished the contest with 30 points, including 11 in each of the first and fourth quarters, while adding five assists. With her eighth point of the game, she eclipsed the 1,600-point plateau for her career. With her seven three-pointers, she now has 265 in her career to move into fourth place in NE10 history. She passed NCAA Division II all-time scoring leader Johannah Leedham (Franklin Pierce '10) for fifth with her 263rd and passed Kim Jackle (Southern Connecticut State '05) for fourth with her 265th. In the last three games, she is 21-of-34 from three-point range and has tallied 96 points in the span to move into second place in the NE10 in scoring at 18.7 per game.

Liz Millea (Cooperstown, N.Y./Cooperstown) recorded 17 points, including eight in the second quarter, five assists and a career high-tying two blocks. With her third three-pointer of the game, she tied Kim Wagoner '08 for sixth on the program's all-chart with 112 made three-pointers. Senior forward
Colleen Corcoran (Beverly, Mass./Bishop Fenwick) scored in double-digits for the fourth time this season with 12 points, including six in the second quarter, while adding six rebounds, three assists and a career high-tying three steals. Sophomore forward
Jenna Zimmerman (Adams, N.Y./South Jefferson) tied her career high with a game-best 16 rebounds.
Nicole Anderson led the Purple Knights offensively with 14 points, including nine in the second quarter, while adding seven assists and five rebounds. Emma MacDonough tallied 13 points and dished out four assists.
The teams opened the game by going back and forth over the initial five minutes, resulting in a 9-7 lead for the Dolphins.
The Dolphins then closed out the quarter with the last 10 points for a 19-7 lead. Roberts made five free throws over two possessions, junior forward
Madison Shetrom (Altoona, Pa./Altoona) hit a jumper and then Roberts buried her second three-pointer of the quarter with 37 seconds left.
Le Moyne extended the run to 21-2 with an 11-2 spurt to start the second quarter. Shetrom and Alyssa Breunig traded lay-ups before Millea drilled a pair of three-pointers around a three-pointer by sophomore guard
Erin Fouracre (Loudonville, N.Y./Colonie Central) for a 30-9 lead with 6:08 left in the half.
After Anderson hit a three-pointer to get the Purple Knights within 18, Millea, Corcoran and Fouracre made shots to give the Dolphins their largest lead of the half at 38-14 with 2:44 remaining.
Saint Michael's scored 10 of the last 15 points to trim its deficit to 43-24 at halftime. Anderson connected on a pair of three-pointers to bookend the stretch.
Le Moyne's lead bounced between 17 and 22 points over the first seven minutes of the third quarter and was at 18 with 3:27 left before the Dolphins scored the final six points on two shots in the paint by Millea and a fast-break lay-up by Corcoran to put the Dolphins up 62-38 after 30 minutes of play.
After MacDonough it a three-pointer with 7:46 left in the contest to get the Purple Knights within 22, Millea and Roberts canned three-pointers and Roberts followed with a lay-up to put the Dolphins up by 30 for the first time with 5:31 remaining.
Following back-and-forth action over the next three minutes, the Dolphins scored the last six points of the game on a pair of lay-ups by freshman guard
Lytoya Baker (Rochester, N.Y./Bishop Kearney) around a lay-up by Millea.
Le Moyne (11-6, 7-3 NE10), which has won three straight games, returns home to host defending East Region champion Saint Anselm College on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
