XAVIER WILSON'S PUT-BACK SLAM SELECTED AS LE MOYNE COLLEGE PLAY OF THE WEEK, PRESENTED BY SODEXO

Syracuse, N.Y. - Xavier Wilson's (Spring Valley, N.Y./Archbishop Stepinac/The Hotchkiss School/Central Connecticut State) put-back dunk with 18:14 left in the first half of the men's basketball team's 79-75 win over the University of New Haven Chargers at Ted Grant Court on Saturday has been selected as the Le Moyne College Play of the Week Presented by Sodexo, for the week ending on November 21.

During the Chargers second possession of the game Le Moyne sophomore point guard Jeremiah Washington (Chicago, ILL./Bogan/Ferris State) came up with a steal and passed it ahead to Wilson for an easy break away two-handed jam to give the Dolphins a 2-0 lead.

One minute later redshirt-freshman guard Kevin Constant (Lawrence, Mass./Central Catholic/Tilton School) attacked his defender on the perimeter, putting the ball on the deck with his left hand then spinning around his defender back to his right and laying it off the glass. New Haven center Majur Majak went to block Constant's shot, and may have gotten a piece of it, but as the ball bounced off the front rim no one was there to block out Wilson. The junior forward dashed towards the basket from the elbow, caught the rebound with his right hand and before he came back down to the ground slammed the ball through the net to give Le Moyne a 4-0 lead.

Wilson led all players in scoring during the NE10 contest, finishing the game with 21 points on 9-11 shooting from the field to go along with six rebounds in 25 minutes of action.

The Le Moyne College men's basketball team will be back in action on Tuesday, November 23 when they take on The College of Saint Rose at 7:30 p.m. EST in Albany.
