Syracuse, N.Y. – Senior forward Emma Brinker (East Aurora, N.Y./East Aurora) of the women's basketball team has been named the Le Moyne College Athlete of the Week, presented by King + King Architects, as announced by the department on Monday afternoon.

Brinker earns the recognition after averaging 19.0 points, 12.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 2.0 steals and 2.0 blocks in Le Moyne's 2-0 week to start the season. She scored a career-high 26 points, including 18 in the first half, grabbed a then career-best 11 rebounds (including 10 offensive), blocked a career high-tying three shots and dished out a career high-tying two assists in an 82-48 season-opening victory over East Stroudsburg on Wednesday. She then tallied 12 points, a career-high 13 rebounds (five offensive), a career-best three steals and a career high-tying two assists in a 65-48 win over New Haven on Saturday.

The Dolphins are back in action on Tuesday at The College of Saint Rose at 5:30 p.m.
