Jake Nelson (Charlotte, N.C./Vestal (N.Y.)/Binghamton/Mercer/Syracuse) each scored four goals during a 15-1 run as the top-ranked Le Moyne College men's lacrosse team overcame a second-quarter deficit en route to a 16-7 victory over The College of Saint Rose on Wednesday afternoon in Northeast-10 Conference action at the Plumeri Sports Complex.
The Dolphins started the scoring with a transition goal at the 9:15 mark as senior defensive midfielder
Casey Nevins (Corning, N.Y./Corning- Painted Post) tallied his first career goal on his first career shot.
The Golden Knights rattled off the next five goals over the remainder of the first quarter and opening two minutes of the second. Jack Pemrick knotted the score with 7:38 left and Kyle Meoli followed 52 seconds later with the go-ahead goal. Just over five minutes later Gabriel Nish tallied his second goal of the season. Jordyn Marchiano made it 4-1 33 seconds later off a pass from Nish. Pemrick capped the streak just over two minutes into the second quarter.
Graduate student midfielder
Ross Filtch (Marcellus, N.Y./Marcellus/Siena) snapped Le Moyne's scoreless streak of 13:55 with his second goal of the season with 10:20 left. Hutchings pulled the Dolphins within 5-3 with his first goal of the season in a man-down situation with 8:05 to go.
Marchiano finished off a feed from Nish with 4:30 remaining to give the Golden Knights their final three-goal lead of the game.

Ben McCreary (Cicero, N.Y./Christian Brothers Academy (Syracuse)) started the streak with his second goal of the season at the 3:52 mark after taking a pass from Nelson, who followed with a goal of his own 10 seconds later. Hutchings capped the scoring in the half with 2.2 seconds remaining off a move from the right side.
Junior attackman
Kevin Sheehan (Camillus, N.Y./West Genesee) gave the Dolphins the lead for good at the 10:37 mark of the third quarter off a pass from junior midfielder
Colin Sypek (Lake Worth, Fla./American Heritage School (Delray Beach)). Hutchings followed 39 seconds later with his third goal of the day, which moved him past Joe Corapi '15 and into 10th all-time in the program's history with 93 goals. Nelson scored another 36 seconds later off a dish from Filtch, while scoring again another 44 seconds later. Hutchings gave the Dolphins an 11-6 lead with 5:48 left in the quarter off a pass from senior attackman
Devin Andrews (Canandaigua, N.Y./Canandaigua Academy/Stony Brook). Sypek finished off the scoring in the quarter with 43 seconds left.

Max Cramer (Manlius, N.Y./Fayetteville-Manlius) tallied his first career goal at the 12:07 mark to start the scoring. In an extra-man situation, Nelson scored his sixth goal of the season with 10:54 left after collecting a pass from Hutchings, who moved ahead of Brian Cost '08 for 10th in the program's history in career points with his 156th. Eddie Baker ended the game's scoring and Saint Rose's scoreless stretch of 33:58 by posting his third goal of the season with 32 seconds left.

Le Moyne (2-0, 1-0 NE10), which has won its NE10 opener 14 straight years, opens the home portion of its schedule on Saturday against 10th-ranked Pace University at 3:00 p.m.
