Newark, Del. – The Le Moyne College volleyball team suffered a pair of losses on Saturday on the second day of Wilmington University's Wildcat Regional Invitational. In the morning, Wilmington recorded a 3-2 come-from-behind win and Chestnut Hill College tallied a 3-1 victory in the afternoon.
Wilmington opened the match with a 25-18 victory after pulling away with a 10-2 run midway through the set. The Dolphins answered back with a 25-22 win in the second set to even the match at one apiece after scoring eight of the last nine points. Le Moyne registered another 25-22 victory in the third set to take a two sets to one lead in the match. The Wildcats stayed alive in the match with a 25-19 win in the fourth set after scoring eight of the last 10 points to knot match at two sets apiece. Wilmington captured the victory in the match with a 15-13 win in the fifth set after jumping out to a 10-4 lead and holding on after the Dolphins pulled within 14-13.

Maethavee Siphakongviseth (Rochester, N.Y./Gates-Chili) led the Dolphins in the setback with a career-best 18 kills, while adding eight digs and three service aces. Junior outside hitter

Isabella Leslie (Elmhurst, Ill./IC Catholic Prep) led the Dolphins defensively with a career-high 22 digs, while classmate
Madison Dembroski (Plattekill, N.Y./Wallkill) tallied 12 digs and three aces.
Heather Pedrick led the Wildcats in the match with a triple-double of 17 assists, 14 digs and 12 kills to go with three aces and two blocks. Mandy Behiels tallied a double-double of 20 kills and 14 digs to go along with five blocks and two aces. Kaiya Medina was the third Wildcat with twin figure kills with 11. Katie Bushong also registered a double-double with 27 assists and 11 digs. Grace Morton contributed 13 digs and five assists, while Elly Collins turned in 10 digs.
In the afternoon, Chestnut Hill scored seven of the last eight points in the first set to claim a 25-23 win. The Griffins extended their lead to 2-0 in the match with a 25-14 victory in the second set. The Dolphins stayed alive in the match by using a 13-3 run to overcome a six-point deficit en route to a 25-22 win in the third set. The Griffins used a 7-0 run midway through the fourth set on their way to a 25-21 victory to close out the match.
"We've still got some growing to do, but I think that we're going in the right direction," said Fabian. "We fought hard, but we just need to polish out those rougher edges."
Kennedy was the only Dolphin to land double-digit kills with 15, while adding seven digs and two aces. Siphakongviseth, who was named to the all-tournament team, recorded nine kills on a .304 hitting percentage and tallied 11 digs. King controlled the offense with 38 assists.
Henielys Ramos led the Griffins in the victory with a double-double of 20 kills and 11 digs, while adding six aces. Mia Caporellie dished out 44 assists and added four digs and three kills. Erika Dubosky led the defense with 13 digs to go with eight kills, two aces and two blocks, while Torrin Kelley posted 11 digs.
Le Moyne (1-6) returns to action on Wednesday at Roberts Wesleyan College at 7:00 p.m.
