Manchester, N.H. – Three Dolphins recorded double-doubles to lead the Le Moyne College volleyball team to a 3-1 season-opening win over Post University on Saturday afternoon at Southern New Hampshire University's Stan Spirou Field House on the first day of the Saint Anselm/SNHU Tournament. The Dolphins dropped their second match of the day, 3-0, to Southern New Hampshire.
The Dolphins opened the day by posting a 25-15 win in the first set over Post. The Eagles answered back with a 25-22 victory in the second set to knot the match at one. Le Moyne regained the lead with a 25-21 win in the third set. The Dolphins closed out the victory with a 25-16 win in the fourth set.

Madeleine Kennedy (Chelsea, Mich./Chelsea) led the Dolphins with her first career double-double with 13 kills and 11 digs. Redshirt freshman outside hitter
Maethavee Siphakongviseth (Rochester, N.Y./Gates-Chili) registered 11 kills on a .318 hitting percentage and a team-best 19 digs in her first collegiate match. Junior outside hitter
Megan Fay (Cornwall, N.Y./Cornwall) tallied a career-best 11 kills. Graduate student setter
Emily Yancone (Rochester, N.Y./Our Lady of Mercy) recorded her 22nd career double-double with 38 assists and 11 digs, while adding three kills and three service aces. Senior libero
Emily Mosack (Webster, N.Y./Webster-Schroeder) posted 12 digs, four assists and four service aces.
Kaitlyn Sharkey led the Eagles in the loss with nine kills and three digs. Elizabeth McGrath directed the offense with 14 assists, while Nelly Diaz had a match-best 22 digs.
In the second match of the day, SNHU jumped out to a 1-0 lead with a 25-14 win in the first set. The Penmen took the second set, 25-18, to double their lead. SNHU used a late 5-0 run in the third set en route to a 25-20 win to close out the match.
Kennedy led the Dolphins in the loss with a near double-double of eight kills and nine digs. Yancone paced the offense with 17 kills, while Mosack and Siphakongviseth each had eight digs.
Juliana Pacini led the Penmen offensively with 13 kills, while adding six digs and three aces. Dai Thawnghmung had a .375 hitting percentage en route to 12 kills. Sara Montefameglio controlled the offense with 30 assists to go with four digs and three aces. Deanne Wilson led the defense with 17 digs.
Le Moyne (1-1) wraps up play at the Saint Anselm/SNHU Tournament on Sunday at Saint Anselm at 10:00 a.m. and then against Felician University at 1:00 p.m. across town at SNHU.
