Manchester, N.H. – The Le Moyne College volleyball team dropped a pair of matches on Sunday at the Saint Anselm/Southern New Hampshire Tournament. The Dolphins fell to Saint Anselm, 3-0, in their first match of the day and then 3-1 to Felician University in the afternoon.

Saint Anselm opened the match with a 25-16 win in the first set. They took the second set 25-14 and then won the last 10 points of the third set en route to a 25-8 win to close out the match.

Junior outside hitter Madeleine Kennedy (Chelsea, Mich./Chelsea) led the Dolphins in the loss with a match-high 12 kills to go along with seven digs. Graduate student setter Emily Yancone (Rochester, N.Y./Our Lady of Mercy) registered her second double-double of the season with 17 assists and a team-best 11 digs. Redshirt freshman libero Isabella Leslie (Elmhurst, Ill./IC Catholic Prep) tallied 10 digs in her first collegiate start.

Audrey Simmons led the Hawks in the victory with 11 kills on a .417 hitting percentage. Michelle Henwood directed the offense with 28 assists to go with 14 digs, five blocks and three kills. Caroline Belmontez led all players in the match with 15 digs.

Felician took a 1-0 lead in the match with a 25-20 win in the first set. The Dolphins answered back to even the match at one apiece with a 25-17 victory in the second set. The Golden Falcons regained the lead with a 25-16 win in the third set. Felician closed out the match with a 25-19 win in the fourth set.

Kennedy registered her second career double-double with 14 kills and 11 digs to lead the Dolphins in the setback. Redshirt freshman outside hitter Maethavee Siphakongviseth (Rochester, N.Y./Gates-Chili) recorded her second career double-double also with 10 kills and 14 digs. Senior middle blocker Lexi Petraitis (Kings Park, N.Y./Kings Park) landed 10 kills also. Yancone controlled the offense with 38 assists, while Leslie paced the defense with a team-high 19 digs.

Maddie Sloan led the Golden Falcons in the victory with a double-double of 14 kills and 10 digs. Hannah Chiswick also tallied double-digit kills with 10. Miquela Martinez recorded a double-double of 22 assists and 17 digs, while Alonda Diaz Sanchez led the defense with 26 digs.

Le Moyne (1-3) returns to action on Friday against Jefferson at 1:00 p.m. on the first day of Wilmington's Wildcat Regional Invitational.
