Syracuse, N.Y. – Senior Nicholas Bove (Syracuse, N.Y./West Genesee) of the men's golf team has been named the Le Moyne College Athlete of the Week, presented by King + King Architects, as announced by the department on Monday evening.
 
Bove collects the accolade after earning medalist honors with a four-under par 209 to lead the Dolphins to a first-place finish at the Post Eagles Invitational on Monday and Tuesday. To start the invitational, he tallied a season-best three-under par 68, which included four birdies and 13 pars, to land in a tie for second place. He then carded a one-over par 72, including three birdies and 11 pars, in the second round to dip into third place. He turned in a two-under par 69, which included six birdies and nine pars, on Tuesday to jump to the top of the leaderboard by two strokes. He led the 81-member field in birdies with 13 and tied for second on the par-4s at even par and par-5s at five-under, while tying for fourth on the par-3s at one-over.

The Dolphins are back in action at Long Island University's Nassau Invitational on Monday and Tuesday at Nassau Country Club in Glen Cove, N.Y.
