Albany, N.Y. – During the second day of the Saint Rose Tip-Off tournament, the Bloomfield College Bears outrebounded the Le Moyne College men's basketball team 53-26, including a 18-1 margin in favor of the Bears on the offensive glass, to claim a 84-73 non-conference victory over the Dolphins.
"It's difficult to come back when you're getting outrebounded 53-26 and getting beat on the offensive glass 18-1. It comes down to how hard you want to play, and how willing you are to play the right way. We have to get better; we have a big challenge coming in on Wednesday with Saint Thomas Aquinas. It's a disappointing weekend, we didn't play anywhere near what we're capable of... We just have to be more consistent as a team. We had a couple guys that played well yesterday, and then we had some guys that played well today. We need a complete team performance… We have to continue to push forward. I was a little disappointed with the free throws. Overall, the season is here, which is a great time of the year, but we have to get better, and we need to take advantage of our opportunities. We have a lot to work on and we'll learn from this," said Le Moyne head coach
Nate Champion '14 after the game.
