Ithaca, N.Y. – The Le Moyne College men's and women's indoor track and field teams opened the season at Cornell University's Greg Page Relays on Saturday at Barton Hall.
"Usually the first meet of the season is just a rust buster," said head coach
Robin Wheeless. "I don't expect much especially when we haven't been on a track more than a few times. We had quite a few personal bests. I was particularly impressed with
Christian Carlin-Saracene and
Brandon Scott, as they posted the second and third fastest times in program history. On the women's side, I felt a little bad for Abby Seaman. She had a share of the new school record in the high jump for about 30 minutes before
Lilly Capria took it for her own. Abby had a really good day though. She did great in the high jump but she broke the school record in the triple jump by over three feet. Feet not inches. I'm going to miss working with everyone while they take a break to focus on finals. I'm looking forward to January."
