Baltimore, Md. – Senior attackman
Kevin Sheehan (Camillus, N.Y./West Genesee) recorded five points to lead the top-ranked Le Moyne College men's lacrosse team to a 15-11 victory over second-ranked Wingate University on Sunday afternoon at Homewood Field on the campus of Johns Hopkins University.
"Proud of our guys today," said head coach
Dan Sheehan. "We had a terrific week of practice. To play in a big game like that in February will only help us moving forward. We were strong in the middle of the field and that's really important."
The Dolphins jumped out to a 2-0 lead through the first five minutes. They opened the game's scoring just 37 seconds into the contest as Sheehan fed graduate student attackman
Devin Andrews (Canandaigua, N.Y./Canandaigua Academy/Stony Brook) on the left wing. Following a Wingate penalty, graduate student attackman
