Syracuse, N.Y. – Tewaaraton Award Watch List member Abigail Lagos scored the game-winning goal midway through the fourth quarter to lead the second-ranked University of Indianapolis to an 11-10 victory over the top-ranked Le Moyne College women's lacrosse team on Sunday afternoon at Ernie Davis Legends Field.

Le Moyne, which had its 35-game regular season win streak snapped, scored the only two goals of the first quarter. Just over nine minutes into the game, graduate student midfielder

Jessica Meneilly (Cicero, N.Y./Cicero-North Syracuse) doubled the lead with her 10th goal of the season with 1:45 remaining in the quarter.
Indianapolis tallied the first four goals of the second quarter. Sarah Klein got the Greyhounds on the scoreboard at the 14:14 on a free-position shot. Lagos followed with one of her own with 10:52 left to even the score at two apiece. Kylee Manser put UIndy in front for the first time with an unassisted goal 39 seconds later. Quinn Malcolm made it 4-2 with her 10th goal of the season at the 9:22 mark off a pass from Lagos, the reigning IWLCA Attacker of the Year.
The Dolphins answered back with consecutive goals to tie the score again. After scooping up a loose ball after a shot was saved, freshman attacker
Grace Detor (Syracuse, N.Y./West Genesee) dumped a shot into the back of the net at the 8:39 mark for her third goal of the season. Graduate student attacker
Erin McMullen (Syracuse, N.Y./Westhill) fired in her ninth goal of the season from the right side of the crease to tie the score with 6:49 remaining in the half.
The Greyhounds took a 5-4 lead into the intermission after Jess Soenen netted her seventh goal of the season with 14 seconds left off a pass from Lagos.
Following turnovers by each team over the first two minutes of the second half, Meagher scored at the 12:04 mark to knot the score at five.
UIndy regained the lead with 10:36 left on Christina Sato's fifth goal of the season.
Le Moyne followed with the next two goals to take the lead back. Meagher evened the score at six with her fourth goal of the season with 9:46 to go. Meneilly put the team up at the 6:37 mark with her 11th tally of the campaign.
Indianapolis scored the final four goals of the quarter to take its largest lead of the game. Mackenzie Winn started the run at the 5:45 mark to tie the score off a dish from Klein, who followed with her 17th goal of the year with 2:44 remaining. Lagos made it a 9-7 game with a free-position tally with 48 seconds left. Peyton Romig, the reigning IWLCA Division II Player and Midfielder of the Year, buried a free-position shot with 11 seconds left to put the Greyhounds up by three.
Le Moyne scored three times in the first 200 seconds of the fourth quarter to tie the score for the final time. Redshirt junior
Katelyn Karleski (Syracuse, N.Y./Westhill/Onondaga C.C.) found the back of the net on her first shot of the season at the 13:38 mark after collecting a pass from McMullen. Just 31 seconds later, sophomore attacker
Sarah Hutchings (Marcellus, N.Y./Marcellus) netted her third goal of the season to get the Dolphins within one. Hutchings scored again with 11:41 left after receiving a feed from McMullen to tie the score at 10. With the assist, McMullen tied Maggie Monnat '16 for fifth on the program's career points chart with 235.
After two empty possessions by each team, Lagos tallied the game-winner on a drive down the right alley.
Le Moyne put three shots on goal over the final five and one-half minutes, but goalkeeper Audrey Moran was able to save each.
Third-year sophomore goalkeeper
Paige Crandall (Adams, N.Y./South Jefferson) tallied 13 saves in the setback. Moran finished the game with seven saves (against five goals) over 43:07 between the pipes.
Le Moyne (2-1), which last lost a regular season game on April 25, 2018 at Adelphi, is back in action on Wednesday at 15th-ranked Roberts Wesleyan College at 3:00 p.m.
