Syracuse, N.Y. – Senior midfielder
Colin Sypek (Lake Worth, Fla./American Heritage School (Delray Beach)) tallied a career-high six points to lead the second-ranked Le Moyne College men's lacrosse team to a 14-6 victory over ninth-ranked Pace University on Tuesday afternoon in Northeast-10 Conference action at Ted Grant Field.

The Dolphins, who recorded their 26th consecutive victory over the Setters, tallied the first two goals of the game. Graduate student midfielder
Evan Kelly (Honeoye Falls, N.Y./Aquinas Institute) started the scoring at the 9:30 mark with his sixth goal of the season after taking a pass from senior midfielder
John Bergan (Camillus, N.Y./West Genesee). Just over six minutes later, the Dolphins took advantage of a Pace penalty as redshirt senior midfielder
Zach Pierce (Gansevoort, N.Y./Schuylerville/Onondaga C.C.) buried his 12th goal of the season after taking a feed in an extra-man situation from Sypek.
Anthony Caputo got the Setters on the scoreboard at the 2:01 mark with his 10th goal of the season.
Le Moyne scored the first three goals of the second quarter to take a 5-1 lead. Sypek netted his first goal of the game and seventh of the season just 52 seconds into the period. Senior attackman
Kevin Sheehan (Camillus, N.Y./West Genesee) registered his 12th goal of the season with 11:35 remaining after collecting a pass from Pierce. Sypek scored again just 55 seconds later off a Pace turnover.
Rafael Rodriguez, Jr. trimmed Pace's deficit back to three with his eighth goal of the season with 4:31 left in the half.
Sypek answered back only 53 seconds later with his third goal of the quarter.
After an initial Pace shot was saved, Jake Veres collected the loose ball and deposited it into the net to pull the Setters within three for the final time with 1:17 left in the quarter.
Le Moyne outscored the Setters 5-0 in the third quarter to blow the game open. Sheehan started the run at the 13:25 mark after receiving a pass from Sypek. Graduate student attackman
Devin Andrews (Canandaigua, N.Y./Canandaigua Academy/Stony Brook) put the Dolphins up by five at the 7:29 with a shot from in front of the net after taking a pass from Kelly. Just 38 seconds later, Pierce fired home his 13th goal of the campaign. Sypek netted his career-high fourth goal and sixth point at the 5:00 mark off a dish from Sheehan to get the Dolphins into double digits. Bergan capped the onslaught with just seven seconds left in the quarter after accepting a pass from Kelly.
Off the opening faceoff of the fourth quarter, Maxwell Streety scored his third goal of the season to get the Setters on the scoreboard in the second half.
Le Moyne followed with back-to-back goals to take its largest lead of the game. Sheehan posted his 14th goal of the year at the 14:01 off a dish from the right side by Pierce. Freshman attackman
Ryan Eisenmann (Boca Raton, Fla./Boca Raton) recorded his fifth goal of the campaign with 10:46 remaining off a drive to the edge of the crease from behind the net.
The Setters answered with the next two goals. Kyle Casey scored 42 seconds after Eisenmann with his 22nd goal of the season. Following a Le Moyne penalty, Veres scored from the left side off a dish from Casey.

Carter Collins (Prior Lake, Minn./Prior Lake/Lindenwood) completed the game's scoring with 6:07 remaining after taking a pass in transition from graduate student short-stick defensive midfielder

Frank Delia (Baldwinsville, N.Y./C.W. Baker/Onondaga C.C.), the reigning NE10 Goalkeeper of the Week, tallied eight saves to earn the victory between the pipes. Louis Ragusa turned away 12 shots in the loss for the Setters.
Le Moyne (7-1, 3-0 NE10) travels to Colchester, Vermont to take on Saint Michael's on Saturday at 3:00 p.m.
