Dallas, T.X. – Jacob Marshall (Baldwinsville, N.Y./C.W. Baker), a junior right-handed starting pitcher on the baseball team, has been named the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Division II East Region Pitcher of the week, for the week ending on April 17, 2022.

Marshall led the 'Phins to a 1-0 Northeast-10 Conference Southwest Division victory during the second half of Friday's doubleheader at home against American International College.

The 6'6" flame thrower went the distance during the seven-inning contest, allowing zero runs, just three hits, and conceding zero walks while tying a career-high of 11 strikeouts during the win, which was the 5^th conference win in a row for Le Moyne.

Marshall is now 5-1 on the season, and in his last two starts he has pitched two compete-game shutouts. In 14.0 innings of work during his last two outings he has allowed zero runs, just five hits, and three walks with 21 strikeouts.
