Fairfield, Conn. – The Le Moyne College volleyball team took on Sacred Heart University at William H. Pitt Center on Saturday afternoon for their seventh conference match of the season. The Pioneers won the match 3-0, with set scores of 25-16, 25-10, and 25-16.
For the Dolphins, freshman opposite/outside hitter
Branwyn Lupton (Napanee, Ontario / Napanee District Secondary School) recorded seven kills. Sophomore middle hitter
Kayla Anstett (Rochester, N.Y. / Hilton) recorded four kills, and Junior outside hitter
Emily La Ruffa (Rock Hill, N.Y. / Monticello) had three kills, and three digs. Sophomore setter
Haley Gerken (Buffalo, N.Y. / Frontier) had 16 assists, and five digs. Junior libero/DS
Ella Katz (Burnt Hills, N.Y. / Burnt Hills - Ballston Lake) had nine digs, and senior outside hitter
Madison Dembroski (Plattekill, N.Y. / Wallkill) had five digs.
For the Pioneers, Dominique Felix had 10 kills, Kate Anderson had six kills, Cristina Montanez had six kills and Gaby Zovko had five kills. Zovko also had 20 assists, Jasmine Rogers had five assists, and Hunter Coppola had two assists. Coppola also had 11 digs, Rogers had 10 digs, Camryn Luginbuhl had five digs, and Zovko had five digs.
The Dolphins next match will be Friday, October 20
th, at 4:00pm against Stonehill College hosted at a neutral site at Saint Francis University - Loretto, Pa.
