STOJANOVIC AND HATTON POST THREE WINS TO LEAD MEN’S TENNIS AT ITA NORTHEAST REGIONAL #1

| Box Score 2 Philadelphia, Pa. – Graduate student Luka Stojanovic (Paracin, Serbia/Kosta Cukic/University of Incarnate Word/Lipscomb) and junior Peter Hatton (Syracuse, N.Y./Jamesville-DeWitt/Club Med Academics/Army West Point) teamed for two doubles wins and each posted a singles victory to lead the Le Moyne College men's tennis team at the ITA Northeast Regional #1 on Friday and Saturday at the University of Pennsylvania's Hamlin & Hecht Tennis Centers.

The duo teamed for an 8-4 victory over FDU's Joshua Oboniye and Arjun Sriram in the first round. They then defeated Monmouth University's Yoav Weinberg and Mateo Bivol, 8-7 (7-5), in the round of 32. In the round of 16, they were edged by the University of Pennsylvania's Sameer Gangoli and Parashar Bharadwaj, 8-7 (7-0).

The tandem of graduate students Alvaro Nunez (Jerez De La Frontera, Spain/Southwest Baptist) and Leon Grundstroem (Hoganas, Sweden/Northwood) also went 2-1. In the first round, they were 8-5 winners over FDU's Tauras Mickus and Gryffin Minor. They then downed Drexel University's Hussein El Tawil and Egor Kirakosov, 8-2, in the round of 32. They were knocked out in the round of 16 by Pennsylvania's Kian Vakili and Aaron Sandler, 8-4.

Stojanovic opened with a 6-3, 4-6, 6-2 victory over Monmouth's Francisco Erramuspe in the first round. He fell in the round of 64 to the University at Buffalo's Cheng Tang, 6-3, 6-4.

Hatton was victorious in the first round over FDU's Tyler Crook, 7-6 (7-3), 6-4. He then fell to New Jersey Institute of Technology's German Lopez, 6-4, 6-3.

Nunez dropped a first-round matchup to Niagara University's Trevor Masi, 6-2, 6-2.

Grundstroem fell in the first round to Columbia University's Jayden Templeman, 6-1, 6-4.

Graduate student Kacper Piekarek (Wroclaw, Poland/Autorskrie Licea Artystyczne Akademickie/Missouri-Kansas City) fell in the first round to Saint Bonaventure University's Hugo Cochlin, 4-6, 6-1, 7-6 (7-1).

The Dolphins wrap up their Fall schedule on Saturday by taking on Niagara and St. Bonaventure at the Pitt-Bradford tennis courts in Bradford, Pennsylvania.
