Brooklyn, N.Y. – The Le Moyne College volleyball traveled to Brooklyn on Friday afternoon to take on LIU at their Steinberg Wellness Center. The Sharks won the match 3-0, with set scores of 25-13, 25-8, and 25-13.
For the Dolphins, sophomore middle hitter
Kayla Anstett (Rochester, N.Y. / Hilton) recorded six kills, junior outside hitter
Emily La Ruffa (Rock Hill, N.Y. / Monticello) had five kills, and sophomore middle hitter
Nil Ezgi Tasdelen (Izmir, Turkey / Ugur Okullari) had two kills. Sophomore setter
Haley Gerken (Buffalo, N.Y. / Frontier) guided the offense with 15 assists. Senior outside hitter
Madison Dembroski (Plattekill, N.Y. / Wallkill) had eight digs, sophomore middle hitter
Kayla Anstett (Rochester, N.Y. / Hilton) had six digs, and both junior libero/DS
Ella Katz (Burnt Hills, N.Y. / Burnt Hills - Ballston Lake) and La Ruffa had four digs each.
For the Sharks, Amaris Smith had nine kills, Camelia Melendez had seven kills and both Olivia Lucia and Katie Berg had six kills. Allie Merz had 27 assists, Alasha Colon and had three assists. Colon also had nine digs, Sibana Gonzalez had five digs, and Allie Merz and Smith both had four digs.
