Teaneck, N.J. – The Le Moyne College volleyball traveled to New Jersey on Saturday afternoon to take on FDU at their Stratis Arena for the Dolphins last game of their first Division 1 season. The Knights won the match 3-0, with set scores of 25-19, 25-12, and 25-20.
For the Dolphins, senior outside hitter
Madison Dembroski (Plattekill, N.Y. / Wallkill) and sophomore middle hitter
Kayla Anstett (Rochester, N.Y. / Hilton) both registered seven kills, and junior outside hitter
Emily La Ruffa (Rock Hill, N.Y. / Monticello) had five kills. Sophomore setter
Haley Gerken (Buffalo, N.Y. / Frontier) guided the offense with 20 assists, while freshman libero/DS
Haley Buescher (Toledo, Ohio / St. Ursula Academy) and Anstett both had two assists each. Dembroski recorded nine digs, Gerken had seven digs, and Anstett had six digs.
For the Knights, Tatijana Fucka and Rebeka Fucka both had eight kills, while Sofia Rampazzo had five kills. Hannah Schmidt had 20 assists, and Megan Bushnell and Samantha Wittholz each had three assists. Emily Van O'Linda had recorded 13 digs, Rampazzo had eight digs, and Schmidt had five digs.
