Washington, D.C. – Supreme Cook recorded a double-double to lead Georgetown University to a 94-57 victory over the Le Moyne College men's basketball team in the season opener both teams on Tuesday evening at the Capital One Arena.

Graduate student guard Kaiyem Cleary (Manchester, England/Redemption Christian Academy (NY)/Florida Southern/Florida Southwestern/Ball State) led the Dolphins with 11 second-half points and seven rebounds. Graduate student forward Luke Sutherland (Syracuse, N.Y./West Genesee/Siena/Bryant) and senior guard Darrick Jones Jr. (Richmond, Va./Oak Hill Academy/Towson) each recorded nine points.

Cook led the Hoyas with 19 points, including 14 in the second half, and 13 rebounds in his Georgetown debut after transferring from Fairfield. Dontrez Styles, a North Carolina transfer, also posted a double-double in his Hoya debut with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Jay Heath turned in 15 points also to go with four assists. Rowan Brumbaugh, a Texas transfer, recorded 13 points and six rebounds in his collegiate debut. Drew Fielder netted 11 points in his college debut. Jayden Epps dished out 11 assists in his Georgetown debut after transferring from Illinois.

After Fielder opened the game's scoring with a three-pointer for the Hoyas, Jones answered back two possessions later with a three-pointer from the top of the key for the program's first basket of the season.

The Hoyas followed with nine of the next 11 points, the final five from Styles.

Following a put-back by graduate student guard Nate McClure (Houston, Texas/Concordia Lutheran/Texas State/State Fair C.C./IUPUI), the Hoyas scored eight straight points to take their first double-digit lead of the contest. Heath made a three-pointer, Brumbaugh had a fast-break lay-up and then Styles recorded a conventional three-point play.

After five points from each team over the next two and one-half minutes, the Dolphins scored seven of the next 10 points to get within single digits. Jones Jr. made a fast-break lay-up, sophomore guard Trent Mosquera (Brookline, Mass./Belmont Hill School) hit a pull-up jumper from the right wing and then graduate student guard Mike DePersia (Cherry Hill, N.J./Haddonfield Memorial/IUPUI) buried a three-pointer with 6:49 left to get the Dolphins within 28-19.

Georgetown closed out the half with 19 of the last 23 points to take a 47-23 lead into halftime. Six Hoyas scored in the span, led by five from Styles, who drained a three-pointer from the right corner as time expired.

Following back-and-forth action over the first 4:16 of the second half, the Hoyas scored nine of the next 10 points over 3:11, the final four of which came from Cook.

Mosquera made a lay-up, freshman guard AJ Dancler (Indianapolis, Ind./Southport) buried a three-pointer, DePersia made a free throw and Cleary capped the streak with a three-pointer.
