Fort Myers, FL. – The Le Moyne College volleyball took on Florida Gulf Coast University in the second day of the FGCU Classic. The Eagles took all three sets to win the match 3-0 with set scores of 25-10, 25-10, and started to get into a rhythm in the third but ultimately fell short 25-21.

Madison Dembroski (Plattekill, N.Y. / Wallkill), and sophomore middle hitter
Kayla Anstett (Rochester, N.Y. / Hilton) both recorded seven kills and junior outside hitter
Emily La Ruffa (Rock Hill, N.Y. / Monticello) had five kills. Sophomore setter
Haley Gerken (Buffalo, N.Y. / Frontier) had 20 assists and both sophomore middle hitter
Kayla Anstett (Rochester, N.Y. / Hilton) and junior libero/DS
Ella Katz (Burnt Hills, N.Y. / Burnt Hills - Ballston Lake) had one set. Freshman libero/DS
Haley Buescher (Toledo, Ohio / St. Ursula Academy) registered nine digs, and senior outside hitter
Madison Dembroski (Plattekill, N.Y. / Wallkill) had eight digs, and Gerken had four.
For the Eagles, Alexandra Zakutney recorded 10 digs, Courtney Glotzbach had nine and Ella Chapman had eight. Shanella Puetz had 24 assists, Lily Tessier had 14, and Nylah Raspberry had three assists. Puetz also had eight assists, Claire Ertel had seven digs, and Zakutney had five.
The Dolphins will travel to North Easton, Mass. To take on Stonehill College Friday, September 22nd at 5:00pm.
