The Le Moyne College Gold Wave welcomed the Hall of Fame class of 2023 during a ceremony held on Saturday, September 23rd at the Le Moyne College Campus Center as part of John 'Doc' Joiner Homecoming Weekend.
 
The Class of 2023 included Jeff Justice '04 (baseball), Amanda Keegan '07 (women's lacrosse), Mike McDonald '08 (men's lacrosse) and the 2009 men's soccer team.

"I'd like to congratulate Amanda, Mike, Jeff and the 2009 Le Moyne Men's Soccer team," said Assistant Vice President of Athletics and Recreation Bob Beretta. "It's always exciting to recognize excellence and this year's Gold Wave Hall of Fame Class epitomizes just that."

Jeff Justice '04 // Baseball (2001-04)
One of the leading hitters in the program's history, Jeff Justice '04 is the latest member of the baseball program to be elected to the Hall of Fame. He registered a .355/.418/.554 slash line with a then-program record 234 hits, 51 doubles, 20 home runs, 10 triples, 139 runs scored, 132 runs batted in and 29 stolen bases over 194 games played (tied for the most in the program's history at the time), including 185 starts. He ranks second in the program's history in doubles and total bases (365), third in hits, sixth in games started, tied for sixth in triples, seventh in runs batted in and 12th in batting average. After two productive seasons to start his career, he broke out as a junior with a .377/.445/.539 slash line with 63 hits, including 15 of the extra-base variety, 36 runs scored and 36 runs batted in as the Dolphins won the MAAC Championship and earned their first NCAA berth in 14 years. His six triples during the season are the most in the program's 24-year Division I tenure. He closed out his career by being named the MAAC Player of the Year and to the ABCA All-America Third Team after slashing .403/.470/.690 with 12 home runs, 22 doubles, 58 runs scored, 49 runs batted in and 15 stolen bases as the Dolphins went 36-21, including a mark of 24-3 in conference action, and won the MAAC and earned an NCAA berth again. His 87 hits during the campaign are the most in the program's history as are his 149 total bases and his 22 doubles are tied for the most and were the most until 2008, while his 58 runs scored and 49 RBI were the fourth-most at the time and his 12 home runs were tied for the sixth-most at the time. Following the season, he signed a minor league free agent contract with the Boston Red Sox and was assigned to the Gulf Coast League, where he hit .302/.362/.336 with 14 RBI and 13 runs scored.
 
Amanda Keegan '07 // Women's Lacrosse (2004-07)
The leading scorer in the program's Division I era, Amanda Keegan '07 is just the fourth member of the women's lacrosse program to be elected to the Gold Wave Hall of Fame. A three-time MAAC All-Conference selection, she tallied 242 points on 175 goals and 67 assists, while adding 175 draw controls and 110 ground balls over 74 career games. At the time of her graduation, she was the program leader in points, goals, assists and draw controls. She held the points record up until the 2019 season and currently ranks fourth in the category, was the leader in goals scored until the 2012 campaign and is currently sixth on the chart, topped the program's assists list until 2008 and is currently 10th and led the program in draw controls until 2012 and is currently fifth. Additionally, she currently ranks sixth in draw controls per game (2.36), seventh in points per game (3.27) and eighth in goals per game (2.36). After earning second team all-conference honors as a sophomore, when she posted 47 points on 35 goals and 12 assists to go with 46 draw controls, she was tabbed to the MAAC First Team in 2006 after recording 64 points on 45 goals and 19 assists as the Dolphins went undefeated in conference play for the first time and captured their third MAAC Championship in five years. Her 64 points and 45 goals were each the second-most in a season at the time. She closed out her career by being named the MAAC Player of the Year and to the IWLCA All-America Second Team after registering 90 points on 62 goals and 28 assists to go with 48 draw controls as the Dolphins went 16-5, including extending their MAAC winning streak to 15 games. The Dolphins won their second straight MAAC Championship before downing Monmouth in an NCAA Championships play-in game to earn their third NCAA berth. Her 90 points and 62 goals on the year each were the most in a season in the program's history until being passed by fellow Hall of Fame member Brittany Brigandi '12 in 2011. The point total is seventh now, while the 62 goals ranks 10th currently.

Mike McDonald '08 // Men's Lacrosse (2005-2008)
The most decorated offensive player in the program's history, Mike McDonald '08 is just the sixth member of the men's lacrosse program to be elected to the Hall of Fame. The only offensive player to be a three-time USILA First Team All-America selection in the program's history and one of only two players in the program's history to be recognized by the USILA all four years, McDonald led the Dolphins to back-to-back National Championships and an additional two NCAA semifinal appearances, while the Dolphins went 62-5 overall, 37-2 in NE10 play and captured three NE10 tournament titles. After earning USILA All-America Honorable Mention recognition as a freshman, McDonald was named to the USILA All-America First Team each of the following three years. He was selected as the recipient of the USILA's Lt. Raymond J. Enners Award as the Most Outstanding Player in Division II as a senior and was named the recipient of the USILA's Lt. Col. J.I. Turnbull Award as the Most Outstanding Attackman in Division II as a junior and senior. As a sophomore, he was named the NCAA Championship Most Outstanding Player after scoring four goals and assisting on another as the Dolphins completed an 18-0 season with a 12-5 victory over Dowling for their second national championship. He repeated as the NCAA Championship Most Outstanding Player the following year after netting the game-winning goal with one second left to give the Dolphins a 6-5 victory over Mercyhurst for their second straight national championship. To go along with his numerous national awards, McDonald was named the Northeast-10 Conference Player of the Year in 2008, the NE10 Rookie of the Year in 2005 and to the NE10 All-Conference First Team all four years of his career. He was also named the NE10 Championship Most Valuable Player in 2007, when the Dolphins avenged a regular season loss at Bryant with a 5-4 win over the Bulldogs in the NE10 title game. Statistically, McDonald finished his career with 227 points on 137 goals and 90 assists as a starter in 65 of 67 games played. He ranks second in the program's history in points and goals scored and fifth in assists, while he is third in extra-man goals with 20. As a sophomore, he became the fifth player in the program's history with 40+ goals and 20+ assists in the same season (a feat which has only accomplished three times since). En route to his national player of the year honors in 2008, he became the sixth player in the program's history with 30+ goals and 25+ assists (a feat only accomplished four times since). He concluded his time on the Heights as the recipient of the 2007-08 Rev. J.J. O'Brien, S.J. Male Senior Athlete Achievement Award.
 
2009 Men's Soccer Team
The most successful team in the program's history, the 2009 Men's Soccer team went 18-3-3 and won its first NCAA East Region Championship to earn a berth in the NCAA Championship semifinals in Tampa, Florida. The 18 victories are the most in a season in the program's history. For his efforts, head coach Tom Bonus was named the NSCAA/MONDO East Region Coach of the Year. The Dolphins went 10-2-1 in Northeast-10 Conference action, including 6-0 at home, to earn the second seed in the NE10 Championship. After a 3-0 loss to Southern New Hampshire in the fifth game of the season, the Dolphins posted a 15-1-2 record over the next 18 games. They posted unbeaten streaks of eight games and nine games around a loss over the time-span. Over a stretch of six games from September 23 until October 10, the Dolphins did not allow a goal for 467 minutes and 56 seconds. In the NE10 Championship, the Dolphins recorded home one-goal victories over the seventh, third and fourth seeds to capture their second conference championship in five seasons. As the top seed in the NCAA Championships East Regional, they opened pursuit of a national championship with a 1-0 victory over Franklin Pierce in the regional semifinals for the program's second-ever NCAA win after receiving a bye in the first round. The following week, the Dolphins played to a 1-1 tie with Southern New Hampshire and then defeated the Penmen in a shootout, 3-2, to advance to the NCAA Championship semifinals. The team fell in the semifinals to eventual nation champion, Fort Lewis College. The Dolphins had two players earn NE10 First Team honors, one on the Second Team and one on the Third Team. The team also had three players selected to the NSCAA All-East Region First Team and one named to the Second Team. Junior forward Angelo Reina was named to the NSCAA All-America First Team, becoming the second player in the program's history to earn First Team All-America honors, and junior back Sean Lawlor became just the second Dolphin to ever be tabbed to the NSCAA All-America Second Team. Reina led the team offensively with a conference-leading 46 points on a conference-best 20 goals and six assists. Reina became just the 10th player in the conference's history to score at least 20 goals in a season and the 13th to eclipse 45 points. Statistically, the Dolphins led the Northeast-10 Conference in points (118) and goals (44), second in points per game (4.92) and assists (30) and tied for third in shutouts. Goalkeeper Steve White finished the year ranked second in the NE10 in goals against average at 0.76 and shutouts with eight.
