Syracuse, N.Y. – The Le Moyne College volleyball team fell to Stonehill College in an NEC matchup at home on Friday night. The Skyhawks came away with the win in four sets, 25-22, 23-25, 25-22, 25-21 sending the Dolphins to 1-14 overall and 0-3 in conference play this season.
For Le Moyne, sophomore opposite hitter Branwyn Lupton (Napanee, O.N. / Napanee District Secondary School) tallied a team-high nine kills, with another five players tallying more than five kills each. Junior setter Haley Gerken (Buffalo, N.Y. / Frontier) and freshman setter Skylar Jehlen (Rochester, N.Y. / Churchville-Chili) tied for the lead in assists with 15 while Gerken, freshman libero/DS Brooke Menke (St. Louis, M.O. / Visitation Academy) and sophomore libero/DS Haley Buescher (Toledo, O.H. / St. Ursula Academy) each recorded two service aces against Stonehill. On defense, Menke led with 10 digs while freshman outside hitter Jordyn Hamlin (Manahawkin, N.J. / Southern Regional) added another nine for the 'Phins. Freshman middle hitter Anaya Rawlinson (Whitby, O.N. / Sinclair Secondary School) put up two block solos and two block assists while junior middle hitter Kayla Anstett (Rochester, N.Y. / Hilton) had three block assists in the match.
For Stonehill, Georgia Murphy led with 13 kills while Mia Berardino followed closely behind with 11. Amaya Parnell tallied 18 assists with Maddie Schamaun recording another 16 for the Skyhawks. Defensively, Sarah Frager put up a team-high 15 digs while Abby Farrell added two block solos and another two block assists in the win.

The Dolphins will host Stonehill in their final matchup of the season tomorrow, Saturday, Oct. 12 at 1:00 P.M. on Ted Grant Court.
