Albany, N.Y.  – The Le Moyne College volleyball team traveled to take on the UAlbany Great Danes and fell in four sets on Wednesday evening. The matchup marked the final non-conference game of the season for the Dolphins, as they now sit at 1-11 heading into Northeast Conference play.

The Dolphins got off to a hot start in the first set, and back-to-back kills by freshman outside hitter Denali Louden (Murrieta, C.A. / Murrieta Mesa) gave them the set win, 25-21. The Great Danes flipped the script in the following three sets as they took 6-1 leads in each and came away with 25-10, 25-10, and 25-15 set victories to close out the match.

For the Dolphins, Louden recorded a team-high eight kills while freshman middle hitter Anaya Rawlinson (Whitby, O.N. / Sinclair Secondary School) tallied another six kills in the match. Junior setter Haley Gerken (Buffalo, N.Y. / Frontier) led Le Moyne with 14 assists, with freshman setter Skylar Jehlen (Rochester, N.Y. / Churchville-Chili) also adding another 11. Defensively, freshman libero/DS Brooke Menke (St. Louis, M.O. / Visitation Academy) put up the high in digs with 12 while Rawlinson added three block assists, one more than both junior middle hitter Kayla Anstett (Rochester, N.Y. / Hilton) and sophomore opposite hitter Branwyn Lupton (Napanee, O.N. / Napanee District Secondary School).

For the Great Danes, Shynelle Woroniuk (15) and Kendall Harris (10) led in kills, while Maria Olga Siapani recorded a game-high 24 assists in the win.
