| Box Score 3 Ithaca, N.Y. – Junior Alicia Alvarez (Madrid, Spain/IES Ortega y Gasset) and freshman Adelie Wilson (Binghamton, N.Y./Chenango Valley) each won a singles match and teamed on a doubles victory to lead the Le Moyne College women's tennis team at Cornell University's Big Red Invite Friday through Sunday at the Reis Tennis Center.

Alvarez and Wilson teamed for a 7-5 victory over Penn State's Deanna Lasorda and Kate Zink on Friday.

Alvarez also collected her singles victory on Friday with a 6-4, 6-4 win over Mercedes Velasco  of Niagara. She fell on Saturday to Cornell's Seychelle Balog, 6-3, 6-2.

Wilson was 1-2 in singles action. She was a 6-4, 0-6, 10-8 winner on Friday over Niagara's Valeria Mora. On Saturday, she fell to Penn State's Kate Zink, 6-4, 6-3. She capped the weekend with a 6-3, 6-0 setback to Syracuse's Constance Levivier.

Sophomore Ella Fernando (Manchester, England/Stonyhurst College) also went 1-2 in singles play. On Friday, she defeated Penn State's Zink, 6-1, 6-1. She fell to Cornell's Sage Loudon on the second day, 6-1, 6-2. She lost to Penn State's Jordina Cegarra. 6-3, 6-2, on Sunday.

Junior Stella Simeonova (Sofia, Bulgaria/National Gymnasium of Mathematics and Natural Sciences) went 1-2 in singles action. Following a loss on each of the first two days of the invite, she rallied for a 3-6, 6-4, 10-6 win over Kate Zink from Penn State.

The Dolphins are back in action on Saturday, January 25 against the University of Rhode Island.
