Teaneck, N.J. – The Le Moyne College women's soccer team will conclude its 2024 campaign on Thursday at FDU. The NEC match is set to kick off at 4:00 p.m. at FDU's University Stadium and will be streamed on NEC Front Row.

The Dolphins have recorded two draws and two losses in their last four NEC contests. They most recently fell to the preseason favorite Central Connecticut State by a score of 1-0 in their home finale on Sunday. Although Le Moyne outshot the Blue Devils 11-4 during the 90 minutes, CCSU scored the game's lone goal in the 83rd minute to leave Syracuse with three points.

In their most recent road game at Wagner on October 24, the Dolphins suffered a 1-0 setback. Freshman goalkeeper Mikayla McPheron (Rome, N.Y./Rome Free Academy) tallied 11 saves against the Seahawks, while freshman forward Nicole Calle (Providence, RI/Cumberland) and junior defender Jasmina Barhoumi (Worms, Germany/Nelly-Sachs-IGS/D'Youville) both recorded two shots on goal.

On the year, senior midfielder Danielle Casey (Clifton Park, N.Y./Shenendehowa) is first on the team and seventh in the NEC in goals (4), assists (4) and points (12).

Calle, redshirt-freshman defender/forward Logan Cookinham (Poland, N.Y./Poland) and sophomore midfielder Kyla Sustad (Willet, N.Y./Cincinnatus/Merrimack) are tied for second on the team in points with five each. McPheron's 6.14 saves per game is the second-most among all NEC keepers.

Le Moyne and FDU met in women's soccer for the first time during the 2023 campaign, with the Knights claiming a 2-1 win over the Dolphins at Ted Grant Field. Casey scored Le Moyne's goal during that match.

Scouting FDU:
The Knights are led by head coach Eric Teepe, who is in his 10th season at the helm of the program.

FDU compiled an 8-2 conference record in 2023 but fell to sixth-seeded Wagner in the first round of the conference tournament.

So far in 2024 the Knights are 6-5-6, including 6-2-1 in Northeast Conference play, and have clinched a spot in the four-team NEC Tournament.

The Knights most recently recorded a 3-2 setback at Howard on Sunday, but prior to that registered three consecutive conference wins against Saint Francis, Stonehill and LIU.

Sophomore defender Ana Salas, a 2023 All-NEC Second Teamer and an All-Rookie honoree, leads FDU in points with four goals and five assists through 17 starts. Freshman forward Marina Burzaco is second on the team in points with three goals and two assists, while sophomore midfielder Katia Cardaba, a 2023 All-NEC First Team and All-Rookie selection, is tied for third with five points via two goals and one assist. Sophomore midfielder Laura Martinez and senior midfielder Leighann Kafel lead FDU field players in minutes played, each logging over 1,400 minutes so far this season.

Freshman goalkeeper Rosemarie Leblanc has started all 17 games in goal for FDU, recording 57 saves with a 1.20 goals against average and six shutouts.
