Syracuse, N.Y. – The Le Moyne College men's basketball team drained 18 three-pointers on its way to a 116-67 victory over Mansfield University in an exhibition contest on Wednesday evening at Ted Grant Court.

Freds Pauls Bagatskis (Riga, Latvia/Complejo Educativo Mas Camarena/Georgia Tech/UT Arlington) led six Dolphins in double digits with 19 points on 4-of-6 shooting from three-point range and 5-of-5 from the foul line in 14 minutes off the bench. Junior guard
Trent Mosquera (Brookline, Mass./Belmont Hill School) also connected on 4-of-6 three-point attempts en route to 14 points to go with four rebounds and three assists. Graduate student guard
Will Amica (Syracuse, N.Y./West Genesee/UAlbany) and freshman guard
Jakob Blakley (Elgin, Ill./Walter Payton Preparatory) each scored 13 points in their first appearance as a Dolphin, while Amica had six assists and Blakley had three steals and three rebounds. Redshirt sophomore forward
Nate Fouts (Skaneateles, N.Y. /Skaneateles/Kimball Union Academy) contributed 12 points, while freshman forward
Isaac Nyakundi (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East/The MacDuffie School (Mass.)) had a double-double of 10 points and 10 rebounds along with four assists in his debut.
Sterling Scott was the only Mountie in double figures with 11 points.
After the teams split the first 20 points of the game, the Dolphins rattled off 27 of the next 31 points to take a 37-14 lead with 11:23 to go. Bagatskis led the outburst with14 points on a trio of three-pointers and five free throws, while six other Dolphins also scored in the span.
Following back-to-back baskets by Mansfield, the Dolphins extended their lead to 30 for the first time with a 14-3 jaunt, which was capped by a three-pointer from graduate student guard
Robby Carmody (Mars, Pa./Mars Area/Notre Dame/Mercer) with 4:52 left for a 51-21 advantage.
Mansfield scored five of the next seven points over the next almost two minutes, Le Moyne recorded a 13-5 streak to take its largest lead of the half, 66-30, with 45 seconds left. Mosquera drilled a pair of his three-pointers during the stretch.
Le Moyne scored 17 of the first 20 points of the second half to open up an 83-35 advantage with 15:33 remaining. Amica led the charge with six points, while Bagatskis scored his final five points to cap the stretch.
Following back-and-forth action over two minutes, Fouts made a jumper and a three-pointer to put the Dolphins up 50 for the first time with 11:35 left. 94-44
Mansfield cut into its deficit with 12 of the next 16 points over 4:18, while Le Moyne countered with eight consecutive points to go up 106-56 with 5:41 remaining. Nasir Brown had six points and Diarmid Steward scored four, while redshirt freshman guard
Deng Garang (Syracuse, N.Y./Bishop Grimes) bookended the run with a lay-up and a three-pointer.
Le Moyne's lead bounced between 44 and 51 points the remainder of the game. Redshirt sophomore guard
Kaelin Thomas (Binghamton, N.Y./Seton Catholic) and Blakley each had five points in the span.
