Loretto, Pa. – The Saint Francis University Red Flash recorded a 4-0 win over the Le Moyne College men's soccer team on Sunday at SFU's Stokes Soccerplex.
Saint Francis struck first in the second minute of the match when graduate midfielder Jacob Adams scored his first goal of the year with an assist from senior defender Torren Aikens.
The Red Flash doubled their advantage just before halftime when junior forward Rodrigo Mendes put away his fifth goal of the season with assists from sophomore midfielder Joschi Schelb and junior midfielder Andre Isreal.
The Dolphins then were issued a red card with under 30 seconds remaining in the first half and were forced to play the second half with 10 men.
Sophomore midfielder Alex De Nittis made it 3-0 in favor of the Red Flash in the 73
rd minute, then Schelb tallied his ninth goal of the year with just under six minutes to play.
SFU outshot the Dolphins by a tally of 13-6, while Le Moyne held the advantage in corner kicks, 3-2.

Wyatt Dupell (Cicero, N.Y./Cicero-North Syracuse) recorded five saves for the Dolphins.
Along with Dupell, defenders
Brady McNulty (San Gabriel, Calif./Temple City/Niagara) and
Maximilian Huss (Karben, Germany/Herzog-Ernst-Gymnasium Uelzen) both played the full 90 minutes for Le Moyne.
Redshirt-junior midfielder
Ziad Abdul-Malak (Manlius, N.Y./Fayetteville-Manlius) registered a season-high five shots for Le Moyne, including a season-best three shots on goal.
Sunday's match marked the largest margin of defeat this season for Le Moyne, and the first time that they have conceded more than two goals in a game.
With the win, Saint Francis sits in second in the NEC Standings behind Mercyhurst, while Le Moyne and FDU are tied for third, just ahead of LIU.
With Mercyhurst ineligible to compete in the 2024 NEC Tournament, Saint Francis, FDU, Le Moyne and LIU have each clinched a spot in the conference postseason, and all four will be in action during the final match day of the regular season on Thursday.
Saint Francis will travel to FDU for a 2:00 p.m. match on Thursday, while Le Moyne will host LIU at Ted Grant Field, with kickoff slated for 3:00 p.m.
Le Moyne (7-4-4, 4-2-1 NEC) has now qualified for its conference postseason tournament in 23 consecutive seasons.
