VOLLEYBALL DROPS CONFERENCE MATCHUP TO SFU

Syracuse, N.Y.  – The Le Moyne College volleyball team fell to SFU in an NEC matchup at home on Friday night. The Red Flash swept the 'Phins in three sets 25-22, 25-17, 25-15, bringing Le Moyne's record to 4-19 overall and 3-8 in conference play this season.

For Le Moyne, freshman middle hitter Anaya Rawlinson (Whitby, O.N. / Sinclair Secondary School) tallied a team-high seven kills, with freshman outside hitters Denali Louden (Murrieta, C.A. / Murrieta Mesa) and Jordyn Hamlin (Manahawkin, N.J. / Southern Regional) adding six more each. Junior setter Haley Gerken (Buffalo, N.Y. / Frontier) led with 10 assists while freshman setter Skylar Jehlen (Rochester, N.Y. / Churchville-Chili) sat right behind with nine. Louden, Jehlen, freshman libero/DS Brooke Menke (St. Louis, M.O. / Visitation Academy), and junior middle hitter Kayla Anstett (Rochester, N.Y. / Hilton) each recorded one service ace against the Red Flash. On defense, Menke led with eight digs, while Louden and Hamlin each added seven more to the stat sheet. Rawlinson led the Dolphins with one block solo and three block assists in the match.

For SFU, Korrin Burns led with 14 kills while Kori McClure hit the double-digits with 10 kills, as well. Alexandria Sappia tallied a match-high 28 assists with Maggie Hogan leading in service aces with three. Defensively, Burns and Raegan Rosi tied for the team-lead in digs with eight apiece, and Drew Wallach led all players with six block assists in the win.

What's Next:
The Dolphins will host SFU in their final home match of the season tomorrow, Nov. 9 at 1:00 P.M. on Ted Grant Court.
