Syracuse, N.Y. – The Le Moyne College women's basketball team won their fourth consecutive conference home game with a 56-45 win over Wagner College on Thursday evening at Ted Grant Court in the first-ever matchup between the two programs.
Graduate guard
Sydney Lusher (Oneida, N.Y./Oneida) led the Dolphins in scoring with 13 points on 4-6 shooting from the field, including 3-3 from three-point land and 2-2 from the free-throw line to go along with five rebounds and two assists.
Fifth-year guard
Lytoya Baker (Rochester, N.Y./Bishop Kearney) scored eight points and pulled down a game-high 12 rebounds with three assists and two blocks. Baker surpassed 700 career rebounds during the victory and moved into sixth on the program's all-time career rebounding list.
Sophomore guard
Sierra Linnin (Valley Cottage, N.Y./Albertus Magnus) also scored in double figures with 10 points.
Redshirt-junior forward
Haedyn Roberts (Holland Patent, N.Y./Holland Patent) added nine points and five rebounds, while junior guard
Emily Florvil (Brooklyn, N.Y./Nazareth) distributed a career-best four assists.
Junior forward
Brianna Williams (Brampton, Ontario/Southwest Academy/Hartford) recorded a career-best three steals in addition to four rebounds and three assists.
Wagner junior guard Semie Brar led the Seahawks in scoring with 16 points, five rebounds and a game-high four steals. Graduate guard Taleah Washington, who spent two seasons at nearby Syracuse University, tallied a team-high seven rebounds and a game-high seven assists in 36 minutes played during the setback.
The Dolphins improved to 7-1 in Northeast Conference play with the win. The Dolphins are allowing just under 50 points per game on average through their first four conference home games.

Lusher knocked down her first three three-point field goal attempts within the first five minutes of the opening quarter to help the Dolphins establish a 20-8 lead after 10 minutes of action. Roberts added five first-quarter points with a three pointer and two free throws.
Le Moyne limited the Seahawks to 3-17 from the field in the second quarter to establish a 38-15 lead at the intermission.
Linnin swished a three pointer from the left corner with 8:33 left in the third, then she recorded a steal and converted a fast break layup at the other end with just under six minutes remaining in the period to make it 43-17 in favor of the Dolphins.
The Seahawks then went on a 7-0 run and scored the final field goal of the period on a Brar three with one minute on the clock to trim their deficit to 21 points going into the fourth quarter.
Wagner outscored Le Moyne 18-8 in the final quarter and trimmed their deficit to 54-43 with just under two minutes remaining in the contest, but the Dolphins hung on for the win, improving to 4-0 at Ted Grant Court during Northeast Conference play.
The Le Moyne College women's basketball team will play another home game on Saturday against Sacred Heart in what will be a matchup between two teams at the top of the NEC Standings.
The Sacred Heart Pioneers (13-9, 7-1 NEC) claimed an 80-53 win at Stonehill on Thursday and suffered their lone NEC defeat this season against the Dolphins in Fairfield on January 15.
