Dover, Del. – The Le Moyne baseball team recorded a 15-4 win at Delaware State in game three of the weekend series.
The DSU Hornets held a 1-0 lead after three innings, then the Dolphins scored a combined 11 runs over the next four innings and added four more in the ninth to avoid a sweep in Dover.

Scott Cassidy '98. "Jordan (Goldmann) was fantastic on the mound and the offense came to life. We gotta build on this win as we get ready to open our home slate."
Redshirt-junior right-hander starting pitcher
Jordan Goldmann (Encinitas, Caiif./Canyon Crest Academy/Palomar College/Grossmont College) earned his second win of the year after going 8.0 innings and limiting the Hornets to three runs and zero walks with six strikeouts.
Sophomore right-hander
Eric Swiencicki (Lancaster, N.Y./St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute) got the final three outs for the Dolphins.
Sophomore third baseman
Brody Keneston (Ballston Spa, N.Y./Ballston Spa) tallied a career-high six RBI with a two-RBI single in the top of the fifth, which extended Le Moyne's lead to 5-1, and a grand slam in the ninth, which was his second home run of the season.
Freshman second baseman
Mike Whelehan (Hilton, N.Y./Hilton) drove in a season-high four runs. Whelehan gave Le Moyne its first lead of the day in the top of the fourth with a base hit to right field that drove in junior right fielder
Wyatt Patchett (Geneva, N.Y./Geneva) and sophomore outfielder
Adam Sullivan (Syracuse, N.Y./Marcellus), then he drove in Patchett and designated hitter
Brady Fureno (Canajoharie, N.Y./Fort Plain) with a base hit to center field in the sixth inning that extended the lead to 10-2.
Patchett finished the game with two walks, two hit by pitches, and a game-high four runs scored, while Sullivan tallied three runs scored with two singles, two walks and an RBI.
Junior catcher
Benji Ries (Buffalo Grove, Ill./Adlai E. Stevenson) smashed his second home run of the series, and his second home run of the season with a solo home run to lead off the top of the sixth inning. Ries also recorded a single, a double and three runs scored during Le Moyne's second Northeast Conference victory.
Center fielder
Zach Brush (New York Mills, N.Y./Utica Notre Dame) added two RBI with a double down the right field line in the fifth.
Le Moyne drew 12 walks, which was one short of its season high, and conceded zero walks.
The Dolphins recorded season highs in runs (15) and RBI (15) and tied their season best of just seven strikeouts.
DSU sophomore second baseman Evan Bouldin recorded two hits and a team-high two runs batted in with a two-run home run in the bottom of the ninth, while senior right fielder Kodai Yaoita also provided two hits and crossed the plate twice.
The Le Moyne baseball team will play its first home game of the season, and its first-ever NEC home game on Friday at 3 p.m. against FDU as the Dolphins begin a three-game series against the Knights.
