St. Bonaventure, N.Y. – The Le Moyne baseball team (7-13, 3-5 NEC), recorded a 7-3 win at St. Bonaventure University (8-12, 0-0 A10) on Tuesday in non-conference action.
"It was a great win on the road to start the week," said Le Moyne head coach
Scott Cassidy '98. "We put together an all-around complete game with great pitching from Dewey (Roden), Kennen (Smith), and Billy (Hoffacker), some outstanding defense, and the offense really swung the bat well. Good win heading into the weekend."
Graduate right-handed pitcher
Dewey Roden (Sherrill, N.Y./Vernon-Verona-Sherrill) earned his first win of the season after limiting the Bonnies to four hits, one walk and two runs with four strikeouts in 5.0 innings of work.
Senior right-hander

Brody Keneston (Ballston Spa, N.Y./Ballston Spa) and
Lukas Egenhauser (Suffern, N.Y./Suffern) each added an RBI.
Second baseman Kyla Caccamise recorded a team-high two hits for the SBU. Caccamise, left fielder Robert Mannino and third baseman Jagger Nucci each drove in a run during the setback.
Le Moyne struck first with three runs in the top of the second via a bases loaded walk from Romich, a sacrifice fly from Egenhauser and an RBI base hit up the middle from Brush. Roden delivered 1-2-3 innings in the bottom of the third and the fourth.
Le Moyne doubled its lead in the fifth when Ries drove in Brush and Cannon with a single down the right field line, then Keneston smashed a double to the left field wall to bring in Ries.
St. Bonaventure got two runs back in the bottom of the fifth with back-to-back RBI singles from Nucci and Caccamise.
In the top of the sixth, Brush ripped a one-out double to right field, then Cannon singled through the left side to put runners on first and third. Nevins then lifted a fly ball to right field that allowed Brush to tag up and score, making it 7-2 in favor of the Dolphins.
Smith worked around a leadoff walk in the bottom of the sixth, stranded a runner on first in the seventh, and delivered a 1-2-3 inning in the eighth to complete his day's work.
