Vestal, N.Y. – With the help of a big inning in the bottom of the eighth, the Binghamton University Bearcats claimed a 10-3 win over the Le Moyne College baseball team in non-conference action on Tuesday at the Bearcats Baseball Complex.
The Dolphins scored a run in the top of the seventh inning to cut their deficit to 4-3, then the Bearcats tallied six runs in the eighth to pull away and improve to 6-3 on their home field this season.

Mike Whelehan provided two hits and a run scored each. Second baseman
Lukas Egenhauser added a run scored with a walk.
For the Bearcats, outfielders Mike Gunning and Tommy Reifler, along with third baseman Devan Bade registered two hits and two runs scored each, and Gunning added two RBI with a solo home run in the bottom of the fifth.

Dewey Roden went 4.0 innings with two earned runs, while Binghamton's starter Hayden Tarsia conceded one run in three innings, and right-hander Conner Griffin was credited with his first career win after allowing one run with three strikeouts in 2.0 innings in relief.

Max Danaher (1.2 innings) and
Wyatt Patchett (0.1 innings) each appeared on the mound in relief for the Dolphins.
The Le Moyne baseball team will return to action this weekend as they travel to Fairfield, Connecticut for a three-game Northeast Conference series at Sacred Heart University. Game one between the Dolphins and the Pioneers is set for Friday at 3 p.m. Game two will be played on Saturday at 1 p.m., with the series finale scheduled for Sunday at 12 p.m.
