Syracuse, N.Y. – The Le Moyne College men's basketball team will open its second season at the Division I level at Syracuse University on Monday, November 4.

The contest will be the seventh regular season meeting between the programs dating back to 1977-78 and the first since 2008, while the teams have also played nine exhibition games. The Orange have won all six of the regular season games and eight of the nine exhibition matchups.

The Dolphins, who fell to the Orange in an exhibition to open the 2021-22 season in the most recent matchup between the programs, return six letterwinners and one redshirt from last year's squad, which went 15-17, including 9-7 in their first season in the Northeast Conference. The Dolphins were the fourth seed in the NEC Championship and recorded an 82-61 victory over FDU in the first round before falling to eventual runner-up Merrimack College in the semifinals. The Dolphins return their third and fourth-leading scorers from last year in fifth-year guard Darrick Jones Jr. and senior forward Ocypher Owens. The Dolphins have added six transfers, a pair of freshmen and a previous women's team practice player to the roster for 2024-25.
 
The Orange went 20-12 overall under first-year head coach Adrian Autry in 2023-24 and posted an 11-9 mark in ACC competition. The Orange return four letterwinners who averaged at least 10 minutes per game along with an expected contributor who redshirted last season, while adding four transfers and a pair of highly-regarded freshmen. They return their second and third-leading scorers and their third-leading rebounder.
 
The team's 2024-25 Northeast Conference schedule was released earlier in the day and the complete non-conference schedule will be announced in the coming weeks.
