Hanover, N.H. – Dartmouth College registered a 7-0 victory over the Le Moyne College men's tennis team on Sunday at the Boss Tennis Center.
The Big Green claimed the doubles competition by winning the two matches that finished. At the second position, Hikaru Takeda and Alex Knox-Jones registered a 6-1 win over freshmen
Jacob Maravillas (Bergenfield, N.J./Homeschooled) and
Luke Hoyland (Sheffield, England/Birkdale School). Miles Groom and Yujiro Onuma were also 6-1 winners at the third spot over freshmen
Callum Matthew (Dorset, England) and
Lorenzo Bortolaso (Bassano del Grappa, Italy/IT IS Enrico Fermi). Henry Ren and Waleed Qadir were leading senior
Peter Hatton (Syracuse, N.Y./Jamesville-DeWitt/Club Med Academics/Army West Point) and junior
Adrian Daniel (Tel Aviv, Israel/Montana State), 4-2, at the first position when the point was clinched.
Dartmouth swept the singles competition in straight sets in each match. At the first spot, Takeda won the closest match of the day, 6-4, 7-5, over Hatton. Ren turned in a 6-1, 6-2 victory at the second position over Matthew. Knox-Jones was a 6-3, 6-2 winner at the third spot over Maravillas, while Groom was victorious 6-2, 6-3 over Daniel at the fourth position. Qadir won at the fifth spot over Hoyland, 6-4, 6-3, while Zihao Yuan closed out the match with a 6-0, 6-1 victory at the sixth position against freshman

Le Moyne (0-2) opens the home portion of its schedule on Friday against Binghamton University at 7:00 p.m. at Elevate Fitness in DeWitt.
