Hackensack, N.J. – Jameel Morris tallied a career-high 20 points to lead FDU to a 78-74 victory over the Le Moyne College men's basketball team in Northeast Conference action on Thursday night at the Bogota Savings Bank Center.

Dwayne Koroma (Berlin, Germany/Bishop Walsh (Md.)/Iona/Salt Lake C.C./UT Arlington) registered his fourth double-double of the season and third in his last four games with 21 points, including 15 in the first half, and a career high-tying 15 rebounds, including eight in the first half. AJ Dancler (Indianapolis, Ind./Southport) and redshirt sophomore forward
Nate Fouts (Skaneateles, N.Y./Skaneateles/Kimball Union Academy) each scored 13 points and dished out four assists, while Dancler had five rebounds and Fouts had four. Graduate student guard
Robby Carmody (Mars, Pa./Mars Area/Notre Dame/Mercer) posted 11 points.
Morris, who connected on 6-of-7 shots, including 4-of-5 from three-point range, tallied 12 of his game-high point total in the second half, while finishing the contest with a career-best six steals. Terrence Brown, the leading scorer in the NEC at 21.0 per game, recorded 16 points, including eight in each half, while adding eight assists. Jo'el Emanuel turned in 13 points and seven rebounds.
The Dolphins opened the game with eight of the first 10 points over the initial 2:31 of the contest, led by four points from Koroma.
After FDU answered with seven straight points to take the lead, the Dolphins regained it on a Fouts lay-up and extended it on a Dancler three-pointer.
The Knights scored seven of the next nine points to take the lead back, but Dancler responded with five points in a row to push Le Moyne's lead back to four, 20-16, with 11:01 left in the half.
FDU countered with an 8-3 spurt, capped by a three-pointer from Dylan Jones to take a 24-23 edge with 9:33 remaining.
The teams continued to trade points over the next six minutes, which resulted in a 33-32 FDU lead following a three-pointer by Morris.
Following Koroma's third dunk off a pass from Dancler to put the Dolphins in front, the Knights closed out the half's scoring with the final seven points, which was capped by a Morris jumper with five seconds left for a 40-34 lead.
After the Knights scored the first two points of the second half, the Dolphins scored nine of the next 11 points to cut their deficit to just one points with 17:45 remaining. Carmody buried a three-pointer, Koroma made a lay-up and then fifth-year guard
Darrick Jones Jr. (Richmond, Va./Oak Hill Academy/Towson) scored four points in a row.
The teams went back and forth over the next 4:41 as FDU's lead bounced between one and five points in the span.
FDU pushed its lead to seven with eight of the next 10 pointers. Morris hit a three-pointer and two technical free throws and then Brayden Reynolds had a conventional three-point play.
After Morris extended FDU's lead to a game-high nine, 69-60, with 7:40 left, the Dolphins scored eight of the next 10 points to get within 71-68 with 3:45 to play. Koroma and Carmody each made lay-ups, while three others combined to make four free throws.
Morris made a lay-up off a steal with 1:58 left to give the Knights a 74-68 lead, but Fouts had a tip-in and a lay-up to pull the Dolphins within two with 48 seconds remaining.
Brown answered 20 seconds later with a jumper and Morris converted a free throw 17 seconds later for a 77-72 advantage. Carmody made a lay-up with five seconds left to get his team within three, but Brown completed the game's scoring with a free throw with four seconds left.
Le Moyne (7-15, 2-5 NEC) is back in action on Saturday at Wagner College at 1:00 p.m.
