MEN'S SOCCER CLAIMS 2-0 WIN AT HOWARD

Washington, D.C. – The Le Moyne College men's soccer team collected three points in NEC play with a 2-0 victory at Howard University Thursday evening at Greene Stadium.

Redshirt-sophomore forward Felix Ludemann (Wrestedt, Germany/Herzog-Ernst-Gymnasium Uelzen) gave the Dolphins a 1-0 lead in the 20th minute with his second goal of the season off a headed pass from graduate midfielder Antonino Pagano (Manlius, N.Y./Fayetteville-Manlius/Syracuse/Coastal Carolina), who registered his team-leading third assist on the play.

Graduate forward Francesco Pagano (Manlius, N.Y./Fayetteville-Manlius/Syracuse/Coastal Carolina) drew a penalty kick for the Dolphins in the 31st minute and converted his kick from the spot to tally his third goal of the season and double Le Moyne's lead.

Le Moyne outshot the Bison by a tally of 16-10 during the 90 minutes, and held the advantage in shots on goal, 8-4.

Howard earned 10 corner kicks on Thursday, but Le Moyne kept the Bison scoreless to claim the squad's first shutout victory of the season.

Junior goalkeeper Wyatt Dupell (Cicero, N.Y./Cicero-North Syracuse) came up with four saves for the Dolphins to collect his eighth career clean sheet.

The win marked Le Moyne's first conference win of the season, as well as their first road victory of the campaign.

Defenders Mattia Boldrini Sesto Fiorentino, Tuscany/Istituto Giovanni Paolo II) and Xaver Ehrlich (Dresden, Germany/Sportgymnasium Dresden/Florida Memorial/St. Bonaventure), along with Pagano and sophomore midfielder Giuliano Michitti (Binghamton, N.Y./Binghamton) each played the full 90 minutes for Le Moyne.

Pagano and Ludemann each recorded season-highs in shots (5) and shots on goal (3).

Howard midfielder Zach Simmons provided a team-high two shots on target on three total attempts, while goalkeeper Ireal Wyze-Daly recorded six saves during the setback.

Le Moyne will return to action on October 9 with a 2:00 p.m. conference match at LIU.
