Syracuse, N.Y. – The Le Moyne College men's basketball team will host Fairfield on Ted Grant Court on Saturday, Nov. 22 with tip-off scheduled for 1:00 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
The Dolphins got back in the win column on Monday with a victory at home against Niagara, 74-68.  This ended their three game skid, and gave the Dolphins their first victory over a Division I opponent in the 2025-26 season.  Senior forward Shilo Jackson led Le Moyne with 17 points and 11 rebounds.  Sophomore guard Deng Garang also tallied a season-high 17 points, shooting 4-8 on three point attempts.  Sophomore guards Jakai Sanders and Jakob Blakley each scored 14 points, with Sanders leading the way in assists with six.  

SERIES HISTORY
Le Moyne and Fairfield are meeting for the sixth time overall, and for the first time in Syracuse since the 1954-55 season.  The Dolphins hold a 4-1 advantage in the series history against the Stags dating back to the 1948-49 season, the program's inaugural year.  The Stags took the most recent meeting, a 78-72 victory during the 2023-24 campaign.  

JESUIT CONNECTION
Le Moyne and Fairfield are two of 27 Jesuit Institutions in the United States. Le Moyne will face three Jesuit Institutions this season. They visited Xavier University on Nov. 6 in a 74-69 loss, and will head
to Boston College for a non-conference matchup Dec. 28. 

COMMON OPPONENTS
The Dolphins and Stags have four common opponents this season, Central Connecticut State, Monmouth, Niagara and Stonehill. 

Fairfield defeated Stonehill in the Mahoney Classic on Friday, Nov. 14, 73-71. Le Moyne and Stonehill are members of the Northeast Conference, and will face off twice this season. Le Moyne will host Stonehill on Saturday, Jan. 31 before they visit the Skyhawks on Saturday, Feb 21. 

Le Moyne took on Niagara in a non-conference contest on Monday, Nov. 17 and came away with a 74-68 victory. Fairfield and Niagara are members of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference and will play each other twice this season.  Their first matchup will be at Niagara on Sunday, Jan. 4, before they host Niagara on Thursday, Jan 22. 

Both teams will face Monmouth University in the coming weeks with the Dolphins facing the Hawks in the Lafayette Classic on Saturday, Nov. 29.  The Stags will host Monmouth on Sunday, Dec. 14. 

The Stags will visit Central Connecticut State on Thursday, Dec. 18 while the Dolphins host the Blue Devils in an NEC matchup on Saturday, Jan. 10 before visiting them on Thursday, Feb. 19.

SCOUTING FAIRFIELD
The Stags are led by third-year head coach Chris Casey.  Fairfield is 39-35, including 22-18 in MAAC play, under his direction.  Casey came to Fairfield following a six-year stint as head coach at Niagara.  

The Stags return nine players, including starting guard Braden Sparks, from its 2024-25 team that went 12-20 overall and 8-12 in the MAAC, while adding four transfers and five freshmen.

Fairfield is off to a 3-2 start to the season.  The Stags first win of the season came against NJIT, 74-53.  Braden Sparks and Declan Wucherpfenning each scored 14 points, while Tony Williams added 13 off the bench.  

Fairfield has won two straight games heading into their meeting with Le Moyne.  The Stags defeated Stonehill in their home opener, 73-71, on Nov. 14.  Deuce Turner led the way with 22 points, while Sparks scored 16.  The Stags followed it up with a victory over Loyola Maryland, 85-82.  Turner scored 30 points to lead the team, while Sparks and Eric Mejia each tallied 14.  

WHAT'S NEXT
Le Moyne will travel to Easton, PA. to take part in the Lafayette Classic the weekend following Thanksgiving.  The Dolphins will face Lafayette on Friday at 4:30 p.m., Monmouth on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. and Ball State on Sunday at 12:00 p.m.
