Geneva, O.H. – The Le Moyne College men's and women's swimming and diving teams competed in day three of the Northeast Conference Championships on Friday night with the women's squad finishing the day in sixth place with 145 points and the men's team winding up in fourth with 397 points.
Women's Squad:
Sophomore Madeleine O'Dea (Milton, Ontario/Milton District) placed 12th in the 100-yard breaststroke with a final time of 1:07.33.
The relay team of sophomores Zoe Coburn (Hickory, N.C./St. Stephens) and O'Dea, junior Brooke Sommo (Guilderland, N.Y./Guilderland), and sophomore Kayleigh Bigwarfe (Glenmont, N.Y./Bethlehem) took sixth in the 400-yard medley relay with a final time of 3:59.30.
Men's Team:
Freshman Alexander Pilieci (Ottawa, O.N./John McCrae) earned seventh place in the 100-yard butterfly with a final time of 50.31.
Junior Xavier Silaika (Rexford, N.Y./Shenendehowa) took fifth place in the 400-yard IM, coming in at 4:05.15.
Freshman Michael White Jr. (Baldwinsville, N.Y./C.W. Baker) finished seventh in the 200-yard freestyle with a final time of 1:41.88. White's prelim mark of 1:41.20 set a new program record in the event.
Freshman Lucas Clay (Baldwinsville, N.Y./C.W. Baker) earned a podium finish, coming in third in the 100-yard breaststroke at the 55.27 mark. His prelim time of 54.91 in the event set a new program record, as well.
Sophomore Justin Enser (Hilton, N.Y./Hilton) took fifth in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 51.54, while freshman Jacob Griffin (Cicero, N.Y./Cicero-North Syracuse) followed just behind in sixth at 52.16. Freshman Nolan Carner (Weedsport, N.Y./Weedsport), and sophomores Tim Landgraf (Lexington, N.Y./Windham Ashland) and Zachary Kilburn (Watertown, N.Y./Watertown) claimed the eighth through 10th spots with times of 53.51, 53.63, and 54.53, respectively.
The team of Enser, Clay, Pilieci, and White earned fourth place in the 400-yard medley relay, setting a program record with a final time of 3:21.95.
