Syracuse, N.Y. – The Le Moyne College men's lacrosse team will play its first Northeast Conference home game on Saturday at 12:00 p.m. against Cleveland State University.
The Dolphins and Vikings will be meeting for the first time. So far this season, they have played two common opponents, Canisius and St. Bonaventure. Both teams defeated Canisius, while Le Moyne downed St. Bonaventure (10-9) and the Vikings fell to the Bonnies (8-6).
Le Moyne is 4-3 on the year, including 1-0 in NEC play, and is coming off an 8-5 setback at Navy on Tuesday. Redshirt sophomore

Ethan Loun each posted one goal and one assist. Sophomore
Lucas Winger tallied a career-high 17 saves between the pipes.
On the season, Berry leads five Dolphins with double-digit points with 14 on nine goals and a team high-tying five assists. Delaney has a team-best 10 goals and three assists for 13 points, while senior
Ryan Eisenmann has nine goals and four assists for his 13 points. Loun has 12 points on seven goals and five assists, while junior
Owen Wilson rounds out the quintet with 10 points on eight goals and two assists. Senior
Sam Getty has taken about three quarters of the teams faceoffs and has won 60 of 118 attempts (.508) and has a team-best 26 ground balls. Graduate student
Jack Sullivan leads the defense with five caused turnovers, while senior
Billy Savage leads defenders with eight ground balls. Since taking over between the pipes midway through the Hobart game, Winger has 37 saves, a .617 save percentage and an 8.48 goals against average.
The Vikings, who were picked to finish second in the NEC preseason coaches poll, are 3-5 on the year just over halfway through the season. They are coming off a 14-8 win at Wagner last Saturday in their NEC debut after trailing the Seahawks, 7-5, at halftime. Creed McDonald, Xander Johnson and Wyatt Robertson each scored three goals to lead Cleveland State.
Cleveland State opened the season with losses to Ohio State and Notre Dame, both of which are ranked in the top 10 of the USILA Coaches Poll. The Vikings picked up their first win of the season against Bellarmine before closing February with a loss at Marquette. Following an 11-8 win over Canisius, they fell at Michigan and St. Bonaventure before the aforementioned win at Wagner.
The Vikings are led offensively by Johnson, who has 19 points on 17 goals and two assists. Amiri Austin has 15 points on eight goals and seven assists, while Alex Van Voorhis is the only other player in double figures with 12 points on four goals and a team-best eight assists. Robbie Stewart has taken 89% of the team's faceoffs, winning 87 of 181 draws (.481) and leads the team with 44 ground balls. Griffin Valli leads the defense with 12 caused turnovers and has added 18 ground balls. Justin Dalum has played 472 of 480 minutes between the pipes and has a 13.09 goals against average, 91 saves and a .469 save percentage.
Following Saturday's contest, Le Moyne is next in action at Detroit Mercy on March 29 at 12:00 p.m.
