Liverpool, N.Y. – The Le Moyne College women's tennis team closed out the regular season with a 5-2 non-conference victory over St. Bonaventure on Sunday at the Elevate Fitness courts in Liverpool.

Isabella Barona (Manta, Ecuador/Talentos de Manta) and
Feriel Mahbouli (Tunis, Tunisia/Lycee 36/South Carolina State).
Mahbouli and Barona helped the Dolphins capture the first point of the day in doubles action. Mahbouli and sophomore
Ella Fernando (Manchester, England/Stonyhurst College) claimed a 7-5 win over Isabella Venter and Cirkeline Lundberg in No. 1 doubles, then Barona and junior
Paula Casares (A Coruna, Spain/Colegio Maristas Cristo Rey) recorded a 6-2 win over Kashish Bote and Kelly Barnes in the third position.
In singles competition, Fernando outlasted Lundberg 6-4, 4-6, 6-2 in the second position, and Barona registered a 7-6 (7-5), 4-6, 10-7 win over Bote in No. 4 singles match.
Freshman
Charlotte Klein (Mellenthin, Germany/Education World Wide (Fla.)) won her fifth position match against Tamara Bachmann by retirement, and junior
Alicia Alvarez (Madrid, Spain/IES Ortega y Gasset) bested Kelly Barnes in the No. 6 spot by a score of 6-2, 6-2.
Isabella Venter and Sienna Smith each earned a point for the Bonnies with victories in the first position and third position, respectively.
The Le Moyne women's tennis team will return to action on Thursday for the opening round of the NEC Championships at the Mercer County Tennis Center in West Windsor, New Jersey.
