Recap:

The Dolphins and Hornets collided Thursday evening in what was the second conference game for the 'Phins, and the third for Delaware State. Le Moyne entered today's contest following a 2-2 draw against Chicago State on Sunday, as Delaware State fell to LIU 1-2 on Sunday.

Le Moyne started the game quickly directly off of kick off, playing a long ball over the top, finding sophomore forward Nicole Calle (Providence, R.I./Cumberland), whose effort went over the crossbar as the 'Phins registered their first attempt in the first eleven seconds of play. Twenty seconds later, freshman defender Finley Brown (South Portland, Maine/Cheverus) added the second shot of the day, an attempt that was blocked. Another forty seconds later, and Calle was forcing a save out of junior goalkeeper Azjah Tocher of the Hornets.

Action would settle the following ten minutes of play, which saw graduate student midfielder Danielle Casey (Clifton Park, N.Y./Shenendehowa) make her first appearance of the game in the 14th minute. Sophomore forward Alivia Day (Rochester, N.Y./Rush-Henrietta) entered the game four minutes later in the 20th minute of the game. Junior forward Hope Adigun (Clay, N.Y./Liverpool) made her first appearance of the game in the 27th minute as Le Moyne continued to push for the opening goal.

Sophomore goalkeeper Mikayla McPheron (Rome, N.Y./Rome Free Academy) made her first save of the game in the 27th minute off a shot taken by junior forward Yazmeen Smith, whose effort was headed towards the bottom left corner of the goal. A minute later, freshman midfielder Grace Gironda (Red Bank, N.J./Middletown South) entered the game to make her first appearance of the game.

In the 28th minute, senior midfielder Lindsey LeBlanc (Westminster, Mass./St. Bernard's) forced Tocher to make her second save of the game after her attempt headed down the center of the goal. Following that action, freshman forward Kaitlyn Gilhooly (Chicopee, Mass./Chicopee Comprehensive) entered the game.

In the 35th minute of action, Adigun added a shot to Le Moyne's tally, however off target. A few minutes later, Casey also registered a shot that was blocked by the defense of the Hornets. In the 38th minute, Danielle had her effort rattle the crossbar in what was the Dolphins closest chance to break the deadlock.

Freshman defender Giana Cutuli (Mexico, N.Y./Mexico) entered the game five minutes before the two teams entered the break to reinforce the backline of the 'Phins. McPheron recorded her second save of the game in the 41st minute of the game after graduate student midfielder Megan Castricum took a shot down the center of the goal. Casey and Gironda would add another attempt at goal just before half, untroubling the goalkeeper for the Hornets as the two programs entered the break with the score knotted at 0-0.

In the 2nd half, Le Moyne continued to control possession as Adigun recorded a shot in the 47th minute of the game. She forced Tocher to make another save two minutes later after her shot headed down the center of the goal.

McPheron made her third save of the game in the 52nd minute, another comfortable catch this time from an attempt by freshman forward Aryanna Peregrino. Redshirt sophomore defender Logan Cookinham (Poland, N.Y./Poland) added another attempt for the 'Phins, as Casey collected the rebound, taking a shot that deflected out for a corner. Cookinham was the first to react to the corner, as her attempt on goal went over the top of the bar and out for a goal kick.

Tocher added another save to her tally in the 70th minute after an attempt from Brown headed down the center of the goal. Delaware State's Nicole Cargill recorded the first and only yellow card of the match in the 78th minute of play. Le Moyne added its final attempt on goal in the 80th minute of play, taken by Casey who's shot was easily collected by Tocher.

Neither side were able to find their breakthrough, as the Dolphins and Hornets ended the game sharing a point a piece after a 0-0 draw.
