Syracuse, N.Y. – Freshman guard Peyton Dincher (Jersey Shore, Pa. / Jersey Shore) has been named the NEC Women's Basketball Rookie of the Week for her performances at LIU and at home vs Chicago State.

Dincher was named the NEC Rookie of the Week for the first time in her collegiate career after averaging 12.0 points on 7-16 (.438) shooting from the field, 3-9 (.333) shooting from three-point range, and 7-8 (.875) at the line off the bench. She added a pair of rebounds and one steal through Le Moyne's games against LIU on Thursday, Jan. 15 and Chicago State on Saturday, Jan. 17.

During the Dolphins' outing at LIU, Dincher led the team with a career-high 23 points in 31 minutes off the bench.

Dincher is the first Dolphin to receive the Rookie of the Week honor since fellow guard Kayden Clark (Oakhurst, N.J. / Manasquan) during the opening week of the 2025-26 season.

Along with Dincher's nod, junior forward Ashley Buragas (Hopewell Junction, N.Y. / John Jay / Mineral Area College) was named an NEC Prime Performer after averaging a team-high 22.0 points on 18-27 (.667) shooting from the field. Buragas set a new career-best in points in both games, scoring 21 at LIU and 23 at home against Chicago State.

Le Moyne will head to Staten Island for a matchup with Wagner this Thursday, Jan. 22 at 7:00 p.m.
