BALANCED SCORING AND HOT SHOOTING PROPELS MEN’S BASKETBALL TO 87-74 WIN AT FDU

Hackensack, N.J. – The Le Moyne College men's basketball used balanced scoring and hot shooting en route to an 87-74 victory over FDU on Monday night in NEC action at Bogota Savings Bank Center.

Redshirt junior guard Trent Mosquera (Boston, Mass./Belmont Hill School) led six Dolphins in double figures with 18 points, 15 of which came in the first half and got him to 600 career points, while he added a team high-tying six rebounds and a pair of assists. Sophomore guard Jakai Sanders (Brooklyn, N.Y./Eagle Academy) tallied 13 of his 16 points in the second half, while also pulling down six rebounds and dishing out three assists. Sophomore guard Jakob Blakley (Elgin, Ill./Walter Payton Preparatory) and freshman guard Eli Greenberg (Centerville, Ohio/Centerville) each recorded 11 points, while redshirt sophomore guard Deng Garang (Syracuse, N.Y./Bishop Grimes) and junior guard Samuel Hincapie (Medellin, Colombia/Gateway Legacy Prep (Mo.)/Lake Land College) turned in 10 points each. Le Moyne shot 26-of-43 (.605) from the field and 13-of-21 (.619) from three-point range in the victory. Both percentages are the best by the program in the College's three years at the Division I level.

After the Knights scored seven of the next 12 points, Mosquera drained back-to-back three-pointers around a lay-up by Parnell to give the Dolphins their largest lead of the game at 39-20 with 2:00 remaining.

FDU scored the final four points of the half to get within 39-24 at the intermission.
